So many days on our calendar are set aside in remembrance for fallen Soldiers that have given the ultimate price for the freedoms that we so hold so dearly even if it is just by a thread. Yet at the same time there aren't enough days set aside for this purpose. It was 65 years ago that so many brave young men landed on the beach at Normandy and changed the outcome of a war. The outcome of which attempted to take away the freedoms and rights of many different people around the world.

Today the battle continues even though it is not always as violent or bloody as it was that infamous day on that beach. Evil is still here and it's desires are to overcome us all. An attempt to take away the ultimate of all freedoms. Praise God we have the assurance that the gift of that freedom can be taken away from us by any man or earthly government.

FREEDOM IS NOT FREE! What a truth there is in that short statement. Many Soldiers have laid down their lives so that others may enjoy rightfully due freedoms here on earth. For this we can indeed give due praise and many thanks.

We can also Praise God for the One that laid down His life so that ALL mankind may enjoy a freedom far above those freedoms experienced in this world. A freedom from eternal punishment, freedom from pain and suffering. All we have to do is to accept Him for who He is, our Lord and Saviour, to fully believe in Him.

Hello Pastor Roger,

Brother, I think that "Freedom Isn't Free" says it well. Many paid for every minute of Freedom and safety that we enjoy. Freedom and safety should never be taken for granted. These are things to give thanks for, and we should know that every moment was paid for in blood, sweat, and tears. As Christians, we also have deliverance from the curse of sin and death by the shed Blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross. So, the most cherished things we have were all paid for with blood.

Love In Christ,
Tom

2 Corinthians 3:15-16 ASV  15  But unto this day, whensoever Moses is read, a veil lieth upon their heart.  16  But whensoever it shall turn to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
