I believe you are looking for Philip the evangelist (Acts 21:8; 6:5; 8:5). He had four virgin daughters who prophesied (Acts 21:9).  There are no female evangelists recorded in the Bible, although many women are commended for their service to the Lord, both in the Gospels and the epistles.

God did use women to prophesy from time to time, both in the OT and the NT.  They are exceptions, since God has also commanded that women keep silence in the churches (1 Cor. 14:34), so it would be reasonable to expect that the ministry gifts of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers (Eph 4:11) are for men. Scripture is clear that the apostles were all men, and pastor/elder/bishops as well as deacons are to be men only.

However, God has given women a wide range of spiritual gifts, and women have served the Lord very effectively in many ministries. Women are not to be considered "inferior" but "under authority" (because of Eve), and those who accept God-given authority are truly blessed. The symbol of authority to be worn by Christian women during worship is the head-covering (whether veil, shawl, scarf or hat is immaterial). See 1 Cor. 11 for this teaching in depth. In essence, women represent the Church symbolically, while men with uncovered heads represent Christ, the Head of the Church.

Romans 16:1- 2 "And I commend to you Phoebe, our sister - being a minister also of the assembly which is in Cenchreae; In order that ye may give her welcome, in the Lord, in a manner worthy of the saints, And stand by her in any matter wherein she may have need of you; for she also hath proved to be a defender of many, and of my own self.
16:12a "Salute Persis, the beloved sister, who indeed hath toiled much in the Lord." (13) Salute Rufus...also his and my mother."
15 "Salute...Nereus and his sister"

Well, Phoebe at least was a minister...

's the same word translated elsewhere as deacon.  Phoebe was a deacon, whatever Sower might like to believe.
