LG embeds Quran, jihad passages, in big screen tv’s and laptops

LG said in a release that the TV, which comes in 42 inch and 50 inch versions, is the first of its kind in the world. The company began selling it in conjunction with the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, which started at the beginning of September.

Quranic verses can be read on screen and listened to via software embedded in the TV. All 114 chapters of the holy book are included and up to 10 pages can be bookmarked via remote control, LG said.

LG said it decided to offer the product after learning through a survey that many Muslims listened to the Quran via their home theater systems and that ratings for radio broadcasts of the holy book were high.

“The product resulted from noticing that devout Muslims read and listen to the Quran almost every day,” Park Jong-seok, vice president of LGs PDP division, said in the release.

First, they revolutionized the big screen tv market by embedding the jihadists holy book in televisions, now top technologists and scientists at LG found a way to embed the Quran in laptop computers.

LG Electronics, global leader and technology innovator, provides the LG Netbook X110 equipped with Quran software and with the benefits of better, faster access to information and communications technology.

The software provides e- Quran in 10 different languages. Recitation of the holy Quran is by Sheikh Abdul Rehman Sudas & Sheikh Saoud Al Shuraim.

I know I won't be buying these no matter how good the product may be.

Brother Tom,

LG also sells cell phones, I won't be buying one either. To bad, no one has a TV that has Bible verses, on screen. Well this world is heading down the garbage heap fast. Praise God, we have a better place for those of us who believe.

Brother Tom,

Brother Bob,

I have a giant 19" color monitor with my computer, and I can make the fonts as large as I need to. I was just chuckling some in knowing that it can also be set to watch television. Needless to say, I didn't set it to watch television. I usually have e-Sword running almost continually in the background. I have the fonts and colors set for my eyes, and this is just one of the big reasons why I love e-Sword.

I was also thinking about many churches and missionary organizations who have invested some to give away computers and Bible Study programs. e-Sword is very popular because one can get literally everything needed FREE in many different languages. Even older and broken computers can be put back into service by someone who knows what they're doing. Now I'm thinking about you and others who do this and give them away. GOD BLESS YOU!

I think there are some small electronic devices with only the Bible on them, but I think the number of available languages would be limited. The one I'm thinking about is quite expensive and doesn't have nearly the power and flexibility of e-Sword. By the way, they do have an excellent portable version of e-Sword designed for hand-held computers. I can't think of what they call them now - PDA? I just know that we bought one for our son-in-law, and he put a good portion of a medical library on it. I would imagine that the hand-helds would be more expensive to put back in service. Regardless, GOD has given us many ways to distribute HIS GOOD NEWS!

Love In Christ,
Tom

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 ASV  19  Or know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own;  20  for ye were bought with a price: glorify God therefore in your body.

1 Corinthians 7:20-24 ASV  20  Let each man abide in that calling wherein he was called.  21  Wast thou called being a bondservant? Care not for it: nay, even if thou canst become free, use it rather.  22  For he that was called in the Lord being a bondservant, is the Lord's freedman: likewise he that was called being free, is Christ's bondservant.  23  Ye were bought with a price; become not bondservants of men.  24  Brethren, let each man, wherein he was called, therein abide with God.
