What's in a name ?

Quite often names which have a meaning suggesting "little" are modified with age.  For example "Jamie" as a child would become "James" or "Jim" as an adult.

Hey - I'm "all growed-up" and my friends and family still call me Jamie.  Although my business associates call me 'Jim' - police officers call me 'James', and I insist that all lawyers call me 'Mr. Davis'.  (If they don't, I'll sue!)

Your post subscript would look good on a notice in the Police Station for the criminals to gaze at while they wait JPD.

Surely God knows who we are refering to, but I sometimes I have to giggle when I say these names in prayer.
