What a blessing to find such a great group of people in a God blessed forum.

I have been a very serious Bible reader for some time. I spend most my leisure time reading the Bible, rereading it and rereading it and always find something new. I have no denomination, I just live by faith in Him and live by His word. The scriptures are just what God said they are......they are health to all who find them. He has given me much wisdom and understanding through my studies in His word.

I have had many obstacles and troubles in my life as well as other people and God's word never has failed in my life since the day I decided everything I do or say must go by His word and His way whether I like it or not, whether I agree with it or not, whether I understand it or not, His words are very clear and simple. And His way is very narrow and straight on just like He says ....and sometimes has extremely tight places I barely squeeze through. Some in my family no longer associate with me because I don't do the things I used to do. But I am comforted by His Spirit and pray for myself and them so that I will not be offended and so that they are not offended also.

 But I know the truth and choose the way of Christ and no other, even though I suffer because of it and it is very hard sometimes. And with that choice, I have received many blessings because He called me and I answered Yes, Lord.

I give Him my burdens and He takes care of them for me. He said all things are His, so that includes the bills I get in the mail every month, and He always pays them for me because He is ever faithful to His word. I trust He will pay them if they are His.... Smiley

I am a single parent with one child whom I adopted seven years ago, he is now thirteen years old. I work part time so that I can be with my son to teach him the right ways, and to make sure he has supervision, guidance and stabililty while we live in these difficult times. I have no worldly health insurance, my health insurance is from above. God is my healer according to His word and I trust in Him. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever. He will have mercy and compassion on whom He will.

It is difficult to be in the world but not of it and it is a daily issue that must be prayed about and given to Him. Thank God for His Spirit that comforts us. He gives me the victory as long as I live according to His word.

I enjoy reading all of your posts and wish all many many blessings. If I can be of any help to anyone I am there.

peace and love

Hello Kainos Ktisis,

I know that I've welcomed you elsewhere on the forum, but I read this post and wanted to let you know that I enjoyed it. We live in difficult times, but Christians have faced worse in times past. All we really know about tomorrow is that we're in GOD'S Hands.

As we speak, there are Christians around the world being beaten, imprisoned, persecuted, and killed. The Apostle Paul had similar trials, even to the death. He also had times of plenty and times of need. God didn't promise us an easy time in this short life, but GOD did promise that HE would be with us.

2 Corinthians 8:1-9 NLT  1  Now I want to tell you, dear brothers and sisters, what God in his kindness has done for the churches in Macedonia.  2  Though they have been going through much trouble and hard times, their wonderful joy and deep poverty have overflowed in rich generosity.  3  For I can testify that they gave not only what they could afford but far more. And they did it of their own free will.  4  They begged us again and again for the gracious privilege of sharing in the gift for the Christians in Jerusalem.  5  Best of all, they went beyond our highest hopes, for their first action was to dedicate themselves to the Lord and to us for whatever directions God might give them.  6  So we have urged Titus, who encouraged your giving in the first place, to return to you and encourage you to complete your share in this ministry of giving.  7  Since you excel in so many ways-you have so much faith, such gifted speakers, such knowledge, such enthusiasm, and such love for us-now I want you to excel also in this gracious ministry of giving.  8  I am not saying you must do it, even though the other churches are eager to do it. This is one way to prove your love is real.  9  You know how full of love and kindness our Lord Jesus Christ was. Though he was very rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that by his poverty he could make you rich.

Love In Christ,
Tom

 Wink
 Blessed are they whose ways are blameless,
       who walk according to the law of the LORD.
 2 Blessed are they who keep his statutes
       and seek him with all their heart.

 3 They do nothing wrong;
       they walk in his ways.

 4 You have laid down precepts
       that are to be fully obeyed.

 5 Oh, that my ways were steadfast
       in obeying your decrees!

 6 Then I would not be put to shame
       when I consider all your commands.

 7 I will praise you with an upright heart
       as I learn your righteous laws.

 8 I will obey your decrees;
       do not utterly forsake me.

b Beth
 9 How can a young man keep his way pure?
       By living according to your word.
 10 I seek you with all my heart;
       do not let me stray from your commands.

 11 I have hidden your word in my heart
       that I might not sin against you.

 12 Praise be to you, O LORD;
       teach me your decrees.
******How I love to keep the laws of God butI  keep struggling, I am here to let the Lord use you all to strengthen me and my household...I will let the Holy spirit do it THIS TIME .Blessings

Hello Blessing,

I see this is your first post, so WELCOME!

I look forward to having fellowship with you.

Love In Christ,
Tom

2 Corinthians 4:1-18 NASB  Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we received mercy, we do not lose heart,  2  but we have renounced the things hidden because of shame, not walking in craftiness or adulterating the word of God, but by the manifestation of truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.  3  And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,  4  in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.  5  For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus' sake.  6  For God, who said, "Light shall shine out of darkness," is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.  7  But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves;  8  we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing;  9  persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;  10  always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.  11  For we who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.  12  So death works in us, but life in you.  13  But having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, "I BELIEVED, THEREFORE I SPOKE," we also believe, therefore we also speak,  14  knowing that He who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and will present us with you.  15  For all things are for your sakes, so that the grace which is spreading to more and more people may cause the giving of thanks to abound to the glory of God.  16  Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.  17  For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison,  18  while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
