Is there anything in the scripture saying a divorced man cannot preach God's Word?

Some of the greatest men of God were absolutely terrible people before God called them. Some committed the worst sins imaginable. God can call anyone at any time. The Bible's message is consistent throughout, love God and love your fellow man.

I think we can see from the qualifications that are in the bible that God holds Pastors to a higher standard than he does members of His Church. He also protects his Pastors to a higher level. I guess this all boils down to "leaving it between you and God".

John 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

You may not be able to be a Pastor of a Church, but you can be an Evangelist. If you feel God is calling you to Preach, then Preach on Brother!!

Hello sentry,

1Timothy chapter 3 gives the requirements for holding the positions of a bishop and deacon in a local church. This does not preclude others from preaching and teaching the word of God. We are all to go forward as witnesses of the love of God.

I don't think so. I personally knew two divorced and remarried men who pastor churches and preach the gospel. One of them did the most inspirational preaching I have ever heard.

I would have to agree with what Dreamweaver and PR has said.
I do believe that the Bible is clear that a pastor of a church is to be a man who has been married to just one woman.  I do not believe that to mean "at a time" but to simply be married of just that one woman.  But like the others have said a man in that position can still preach.  There is a difference between being the spiritual leader of a church and preaching.  You could be the best preacher in the world, but not be able to counsel a person struggling with sin.
