EULOGY
My world was safe, so cosy and warm,
I never went hungry, I was never forlorn.
I knew I was loved and I knew that she cared,
In all of my life my mother shared.
Then suddenly from that world I was torn,
That was the day that I was born.
Into this world that we all know,
Here to live, love, learn and to grow.
And the love, joys and friendships that I have known
I pray, that such blessings, to you will be shown.
Keep faith, hope and love always in your heart,
For these things in life play the greatest part.
When I was a child, I grasped the Lord’s hand
So He could guide me to the Promised Land.
My road has been smooth and not over long,
The Lord by my side kept me happy and strong.
And now from this world I’ve also been torn,
To a far better world I’ve now been reborn.
Shed no tears for me, don’t even be sad,
Rejoice and be happy for the good life I had.
I live again, of death I’m set free,
For Jesus Christ gave me a key
To enter the gates of his Heavenly place
And be welcomed home in God’s warm embrace.
So open your hearts let the Lord of Love in,
He’ll suffer your sorrows, He’ll forgive all your sin.
And if like me you take his hand,
He’ll also lead you to the Promised Land.
And then one day again we’ll meet,
To sit, laugh and sing at Our Father’s feet.
