Is praying silently without speaking ok? I don't want people hearing me.

Yes, brother it is perfectly ok. In fact we are told that it is the better way to pray.

Mat 6:5  And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
Mat 6:6  But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

I think that you misunderstand, brother. When the scripture that I posted says to go into your closet it doesn't necessarily mean to get up and physically go into a closet. It is saying that when we pray to pray between you and God and not as in doing so out loud so as to impress others. The word closet here means to do so in secret. Silent prayer is just that and we can pray no matter where we are in this manner whether it is in the middle of an audience with every ones eyes on us or in complete privacy with absolutely no one around. This does not make prayer out loud wrong either. It is just saying that silent prayer is the better way as it is just between you and God.

Since you're only praying to God, He's the only One who needs to hear you. He knows out thoughts anyway. That way satan won't know what you're praying about.
