Is it right to petition to God to do something by fasting? I think it is but want to make sure.

Brother, Fasting is something that is taught in the Bible even in the New Testament. Sometimes it is not feasible though for some of us to do so. It is not something that God requires of us to do nor would He expect it from those of that it would cause further complications for our health. Irregardless of whether we fast or not He will still listen to us.

I know that but what I mean is, would He help more if I fasted?

No, I seriously doubt it. As I said, God listens to us anyway.

That is up to you, brother. I'm sure that you've discussed this with your Dr and will do this in an intelligent manner.

No need to talk to doctor. I am not eating meat for month of September. I simply asked for a vegetarian diet. I also won't be eating anything sweet or salty.
