CAIR attempts to torpedo
Capitol press conference
Hits back with 'criminal report'
about undercover investigation

Despite protests and threats from the Council on American-Islamic Relations, four Congress members went ahead with a press conference at the U.S. Capitol yesterday to call for an investigation of the Muslim lobby group based on documents uncovered in the explosive new book "Muslim Mafia," by WND Books.

Rep. Sue Myrick, R-N.C., received a fax Tuesday from CAIR's in-house legal counsel, alleging the authors of the new book, set for release today, had engaged in "criminal actions" and warning that a report already had been filed with law enforcement authorities.

The faxed letter from CAIR's Nadhira al-Khalili noted the Washington-based group had been forewarned of the press conference Myrick held with fellow members of the House anti-terror caucus leadership, Reps. John Shadegg, R-Ariz., Trent Franks, R-Ariz., and Paul Broun, R-Ga. The lawmakers called for an end to political lobbying by groups, such as CAIR, operating as fronts for the Egyptian-based Muslim Brotherhood, the parent of al-Qaida and Hamas.

Myrick says in the foreword to "Muslim Mafia" that the WND Books publication – based on a six-month undercover operation that produced 12,000 pages of documents – finally provides the "proof" that radical Muslim "agents living among us have a plan in place, and they are successfully carrying out that subversive plan."

Holding up the book, Shadegg said, regarding the CAIR fax, "Interestingly, whenever books like these are published, there are efforts to intimidate those who publish them and write them. And efforts to intimidate those who speak out in support of them."

Shadegg continued, "We need an informed body politic, we need informed Americans to understand the threats against this country. And knowing the kinds of things that are in this book are very important. The latest book provides stunning documentation of many of the things that are said in it about CAIR."

Franks said the anti-terror caucus fears CAIR has planted "spies" inside Congress targeting sensitive committees dealing with homeland security.

"It's the water inside the ship that sinks it," he warned.

Franks said CAIR and its agents are influencing policies related to the USA Patriot Act, the post-9/11 security measure to help law enforcement crack down on terrorists.

"Muslim Mafia" uncovered confidential CAIR memos revealing that in one year alone, officials with the terror-supporting front group made an alarming 72 separate trips to Congress to lobby against the Patriot Act. The same year Congress met fewer than 150 days.

U.S. prosecutors believe CAIR, while claiming to be a civil-rights group, is actually a front group for Hamas and other terrorists. The Justice Department stated in September 2007 during its prosecution of the Holy Land Foundation in Dallas – the largest terror-financing case in history – that CAIR "has been identified by the government at trial as a participant in an ongoing and ultimately unlawful conspiracy to support a designated terrorist organization, a conspiracy from which CAIR never withdrew."

CAIR's Khalili wrote to Myrick that she may not be aware that authors P. David Gaubatz and Paul Sperry "appear to admit to participating in a plot and scheme that spanned several jurisdictions with the apparently admitted intent to permanently deprive CAIR of its business property. The conspirators seem to admit that through their enterprise they stole thousands of pages of CAIR documents via what could be viewed as conspiracy, larceny and fraud."

The CAIR lawyer told Myrick, co-founder of the Congressional Anti-Terror Caucus, she should "be aware that CAIR has contacted law enforcement authorities and filed a criminal report against those people that we believed have participated in the plot or furthered its goals. CAIR will also pursue civil damages against anyone responsible for defamation, theft of business documents, theft of trade secrets and invasion of privacy."

The publisher of "Muslim Mafia," WND CEO Joseph Farah, responded to CAIR's fax with a letter to Myrick pointing out the CAIR documents were legally obtained by Gaubatz's son, Chris, who went underground as a volunteer intern at the Islamic group's national office for six months.

Some of this article is just a repeat of the above one. It does update it to show that there are a few in Congress that do want to know the truth.

Ohio State Student Group Hosts Hamas Fundraiser

Last March, extreme left-wing UK politician George Galloway traveled to Gaza and handed over a pile of cash to the head of Hamas. The photo-op was broadcast live on al-Jazeera TV. At that event (video and transcript of Galloway’s speech available from the Middle East Media Research Institute), he promised Hamas that he would soon bring more money for the terrorist group “from his friends.”

Weeks later, Galloway conducted a fundraising swing through the U.S. after having been banned from Canada on “national security grounds.” A judge later upheld the ban on his entry.

One of Galloway’s fundraising stops was for the Muslim Student Union at the University of California-Irvine. The Jerusalem Post reported last week that the student group is now under investigation by the university for having knowingly raised funds for Hamas at the event — a federal felony. Amazingly, several university officials were present at the fundraiser. One Jewish group has requested that U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder also open an investigation after submitting a report and videos of the event to the Justice Department.

The Muslim student group at UC-Irvine was not alone in its fundraising for Galloway’s efforts to support Hamas, Pajamas Media has learned.

The Muslim Students Association at the Ohio State University — a sister organization to the UC-Irvine group — also held a luncheon fundraiser on April 4 featuring Galloway, just three weeks after his televised appearance in Gaza with Hamas leaders. A flier for the event states that “all proceeds go to Gaza.” According to the flier, the event was co-sponsored by a prominent mosque in the Columbus area, the Noor Islamic Cultural Center, which has recently been in the news concerning its terrorist ties and its connection to the Rifqa Bary case.

As I’ve written elsewhere, the OSU Muslim Students Association has a very troubled history. Before the 9/11 attacks, the group operated the MSANews email distribution service that served as the primary English-language outlet for virtually every Islamic terrorist group in the world, including al-Qaeda. As the Associated Press reported in December 2001, the OSUMSA was under investigation by federal authorities for openly promoting terrorist videos and extremist Islamic groups in the U.S.

More recently, in February 2006, the OSUMSA hosted a conference sponsored by the Muslim charity Kindhearts on the same day that federal agents raided the Kindhearts offices and the Treasury Department closed the group down and froze its assets for financing Hamas.

The president of the OSUMSA at the time it held its fundraiser for Galloway was Mohamed Sultan — the son of prominent terrorist-supporting sheikh Salah Sultan. Last January, I reported here at Pajamas Media about an appearance of Salah Sultan on Egyptian TV, where he threatened the U.S. with destruction and invoked a notorious Islamic hadith about the eventual extermination of the Jews at the hands of the Muslims. Sultan has also been photographed at events with several Hamas leaders.

Last Friday, the Investigative Project on Terrorism published an article and a 32-page report on George Galloway’s organization, Viva Palestina, that he uses to conduct his fundraising.  Among IPT’s findings:

    * Viva Palestina USA is not incorporated anywhere. It uses an existing charity, the Interreligious Foundation for Community Organizations/Pastors for Peace (IFCO) to collect donations.

    * During fundraisers and rallies, Viva Palestina members often invoke Hamas. In addition, a Hamas website promoted a pending trip by “European political figures” that quoted a Viva Palestina organizer.

    * Viva Palestina USA has struck alliances with a number of extremist groups, including La Voz de Aztlan, an organization that advocates the revolutionary overthrow of U.S. territory that it deems to have been stolen from Mexico; the al-Awda Palestine Right of Return Coalition; and Code Pink.

British investigators have already opened up an inquiry into Viva Palestina’s fundraising and financial support of Hamas. The money and supplies raised during Galloway’s U.S. tour this spring were delivered to Hamas officials in July. When he handed off the bag of cash to Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in March, Galloway shouted:

Revolution until victory! Revolution until victory! Revolution until victory! Viva, viva! There’s more money coming in from my friends. Viva viva, Palestine!

We will see if the Justice Department will take a serious look into George Galloway’s “friends” in the U.S., including the Muslim student groups at UC-Irvine and OSU, who are providing him with money, and the potential crimes they have committed by assisting Galloway in his material support for terrorists.

Fort Hood triggerman:
Muslim, shrink, officer
Army major kills 12 soldiers, wounds 31 in mass shooting at Texas military base

A Muslim U.S. Army officer opened fire at Fort Hood in Texas today, killing 12 soldiers and wounding 31, before he was shot by a base police officer.

The gunman, Maj. Malik Nadal Hasan, orginally was reported to have been killed, but the Army said this evening Hasan is in custody, in stable condition.

The Army Times said Hasan, 39, was a psychiatrist recently reassigned from Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., to work with soldiers at Darnall Army Medical Center at Fort Hood.

A cousin, Nader Hasan, told Fox News Malik Hasan has "always been a Muslim" and was not a convert as had been reported.

Nader Hasan said his cousin, of Middle Eastern descent, was born in the U.S., attended high school in northern Virginia and graduated from Virginia Tech.

Hasan's name was on a list of officers who received promotions in May, published by the Army Times.

Retired Maj. Gen. Robert Scales told Fox News the massacre did not appear to be the act of a mentally ill or extremely stressed person.

"This was a deliberate act of execution," he said.

Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas, said military officials told her Hasan was "pretty upset" about his scheduled deployment to Iraq on Nov. 28.

Hutchison said she was informed by officials that Hasan was not shooting randomly but was targeting people he knew.

Lt. Gen. Bob Cone, a base spokesman, said two additional suspects, also soldiers, were apprehended. U.S. Rep. John Carter, whose district encompasses Fort Hood, said the two suspects have been released, but a third has been taken into custody.

Cone, commanding general of the Army's III Corps, said the gunman used two handguns.

One shooting incident, at about 1:30 p.m. Central Time, took place at a medical processing center, a second took place at a theater on the base, Lt. Col. Nathan Banks at the Pentagon told the Associated Press.

The base, about 60 miles from Austin, and two area school districts were on lockdown. Todd Martin, assistant for communication at the Killeen School District, told the Army Times the district has seven elementary schools and two middle schools on the post.

Greg Schannep, an aide to Rep. Carter, said he was on the Army post to attend a graduation service, the Austin American-Statesman newspaper reported. As he neared the entrance of a building where the service was being held, he said, a soldier with blood on his uniform ran past him and said a man was shooting.

Schannep told the paper the shootings appeared to have occurred in a complex near the theater where the service was scheduled.

Fight the 'aggressors'

Retired Col. Terry Lee, who said he worked with Hasan at Fort Hood, told Fox News the gunman believed Muslims should not be fighting Muslims.

At a conference, according to Lee, Hasan said Muslims should stand up and "fight against the aggressors."

Lee said that at first, he and his colleagues thought Hasan meant that Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan should join forces with the U.S.

But, based on other comments Hasan made, it became clear he was encouraging Muslims to resist U.S. forces, Lee said.

Hasan told colleagues the U.S. should not be in Iraq and Afghanistan, according to Lee, and he expressed happiness about the shooting of two soldiers by a Muslim convert outside an Arkansas recruiting center in June.

Hasan's comments were reported to Army command, Lee said, but the report fell "on deaf ears."

Nader Hasan said his family was "shocked" by the news and trying to make sense of it.

The only motive they could imagine was that he was upset about being deployed to Iraq.

Nader Hassan said his cousin had no violent tendencies and didn't even enjoy going to the firing range.

"The guy was born and raised here, he's my cousin, a good American," he said.

'Horrific incident'

At a scheduled event at the Interior Department today, President Obama called the shootings a "horrific incident."

"It's difficult enough when we lose these brave Americans in battles overseas," Obama said. "It is horrifying that they should come under fire at an Army base on American soil."

FBI agents traveled to Fort Hood to assess the crime and work with the Army Criminal Investigation Division, which is the lead agency, said Supervisory Special Agent Jason Pack, a spokesman for the FBI, according to the Army Times.

Sgt. Major Jamie Posten of the Fort Hood public affairs office said shooting took place "near the soldier readiness processing center, where soldiers cycle through as they prepare to deploy."

Posten said soldiers go to the center up to 60 days before deployment to begin the process of vaccinations and other preparation.

The massive Fort Hood complex is home to at least 4,929 active duty officers and 45,414 enlisted personnel. Another 9,000 civilians work there.

This was a horrible event that makes me sick. This was a cold-blooded, premeditated, and carefully carried out massacre. I think it boils down to the so-called "religion of peace". My heart is heavy for all of the victims and their families. I hope that all Christians have been praying for them and will continue to pray for them.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Islamic Terror Attacks on American Soil

We recently got taken to the mat by a polite, young Muslim living in the U.K. who took issue with our oft-repeated statement that no Muslim-American lost their life to vigilante violence following 9/11.  She provided us a list of six or seven candidates and, after whittling out the ones where the killer was unknown or in cases with mitigating circumstances such as “victim was sleeping with killer’s ex-girlfriend” (and we’re not making that up), we reached a shocking conclusion:

We were wrong.

There is one seemingly unambiguous case that occurred in Dallas, Texas where Waqar Hasan, a Muslim convenience storeowner, was gunned down by Mark Anthony Stroman four days after the 9/11 attacks.  Stroman claimed to have been motivated by anger from watching the towers fall.  He is not exactly your average American, however, even apart from the shooting.  For one thing, he is a white supremacist who carried a felony criminal record at the time of the attack.  He also went on to shoot two more people in the weeks that followed.

Thankfully, an American jury sentenced Mark Stroman to death.  The same cannot be said of many Muslim terrorists such as Lockerbie bomber, Abdelbaset Al Megrahi, who not only have sanctuary in Muslim countries, but are often treated as heroes by devout followers of Muhammad.

Nevertheless, we acknowledge that our friend is correct and that there was at least one Muslim killed in an anti-Arab hate crime in the U.S. following the anti-American hate crime on 9/11.  For anyone keeping score:

People killed by radical Muslims on 9/11:     2,996
Muslim-Americans killed "in revenge":    1

Of course, 9/11 was neither the first nor the last time that Muslims have killed Americans on U.S. soil in terror attacks.  In fact, since that day, Muslims have killed at least 52 people in 31 separate acts of terrorism in the United States (by the standards that Muslim-American groups set for hate crimes).  Perhaps more importantly, there have been quite a few planned mass murders of Americans by Islamic terrorists that were thwarted by the FBI, law enforcement and overseas intelligence operations both before and after 9/11.

By contrast, Muslim-Americans do not appear to be in any special danger from murderous (non-Muslim) religious fanatics, even in a nation awash in firearms.  Identity groups, such as CAIR, whine incessantly about relatively trivial incidents while turning a blind eye to the horrible violence that is meted out daily in the name of their religion.  This distasteful petulance offers insight not only into the character of Islam, but also the impressive religious tolerance that Americans manage to maintain.

For anyone wondering about the history of deadly Islamic terror on American soil in the last 35 years, here’s what we could find:

I highly recommend the above site for excellent and unbiased information. There are very few places where you can get the unvarnished TRUTH about the so-called "religion of peace".

Muslims: 'America's chickens
have come home to roost'
U.S. Islamic street preachers declare
Fort Hood victims got just desserts

A radical Muslim group was videotaped condoning the massacre at Fort Hood by Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan because it was a military target.

"America's chickens have come home to roost," shouted a representative of the group.

A website run by Revolution Muslim is also honoring Hasan, the man accused of killing 13 people at Fort Hood in Texas, as an "Officer and a Gentleman," saying his actions should not be denounced.

The massacre, which also left more than two dozen injured, was called a "pre-emptive attack" by supporters of the group.

Hasan, a Muslim psychiatrist who reportedly had been disciplined for pushing Islam on his patients at one point in his career, had given away his furniture and handed out Qurans before going to the military base and firing on soldiers at a processing center where soldiers prepared to deploy.

There were multiple reports he had objected to being placed in the position of possibly having to fight fellow Muslims by his scheduled deployment to the Middle East.

"Get Well Soon Major Nidal We Love You," said the website run by radicals who follow an imam once jailed in Britain. "Major Nidal Hasan M.D. An officer and a gentleman was injured while partaking in a pre-emptive attack.

The website lists as its imam Sheik Abdullah el-Faisal, who in February 2003 was sentenced to nine years in jail, reduced to seven on appeal, after being convicted of soliciting murder and inciting racial hatred in England.

According to reports in the London Guardian at the time, hundreds attended his lectures, possibly including James Ujaama, a U.S. citizen accused of trying to help the Taliban in Afghanistan; Richard Reid, who attempted to detonate a bomb in his shoe while crossing the Atlantic in a jetliner; and Zacharias Moussaoui, jailed for the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks on the U.S.

The reports said el-Faisal, who later was released and returned to his home in Jamaica, suggested Muslims attend training camps to gain the skills to wage jihad on the West.

He was recorded praising Osama bin Laden and saying, "You have to learn how to shoot and fly planes and drive tanks."

El-Faisal also said chemical weapons should be utilized to "exterminate non-believers" and said Muslim mothers should buy toy guns for their children to providing training opportunities.

"We do NOT denounce this officer's actions, we do however apologize for the following acts committed by our country," the U.S.-based website's supporters said. They listed: "Bay of Tonkin, The East Timor Massacre by USA Supported Suharto, 1902 Samar Massacre in the Philippines by the USMC, 1,000,000 Dead Iraqis, Afghani & Pakistanis Killed by the USA, Starvation of Africa & Rape of it's (sic) Resources by the USA, Support of the Brutal 'Israeli' Occupation Entity, Etc. Etc."

"Every day is Fort Hood for the world community due to USA policies and their tyrant totalitarian puppet regimes," the activists proclaimed. "Rest assure (sic) the slain terrorists at Fort Hood are in the eternal hellfire and it is not to (sic) late for YOU to change your policies," they said.

The website's mission statement states, "Revolution Muslim is a message and movement grounded in the sayings, deeds, actions and understanding of Ahlus Sunnah wal jama'ah (The collective body of those Muslims that adhere to the ways of the Prophet (SAWS) and the first four generations of Muslims)."

It continues, "We pray that we may witness the dismantlement of western, secular dominance across the world as we hold it to be pagan and idolatrous in the majority of its presumptions. We seek a resurrection of the just example set forth by centuries of Islamic rule throughout the ages and we hold it to be self evident for the objective soul and mind that Allah is One and that Muhammad ibn Abdullah is His Prophet and that the religion offers the solution to all of the world’s ills and afflictions."

The base commander said soldiers reported they heard Hasan shout "Allahu Akbar," or "Allah is the greatest," while he was shooting.

The site is disdainful of other Islamic organizations, citing a condemnation from the Islamic Society of North America regarding the shootings.

"ISNA - The house dog, barks once more to please its kafir Masters," Revolution Muslim wrote.

Hasan was born and raised in Virginia, but has family outside of Jerusalem. He enlisted and obtained his education from the military. He spent most of his career at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington until he was sent to Fort Hood this year, from where he apparently was to be deployed.

I had that same thought only I was thinking that the 'chickens have come home to roost' was more fittingly a reference to them instead of Americans.

Man arrested for 'anti-Christian mall disturbance' to appear in court again Thursday
Deputy DA keeps bail at $27K, orders Hasim to stay away from Stoneridge Shopping Center

Deputy District Attorney Ronda Theisen requested the bail for Abdul Walid Hamid stay at $27,000 as the 22-year-old man was arraigned Tuesday morning on charges of battery, grand theft, exhibition of a deadly weapon and a possible hate crime.

Police arrested 22-year-old Hamid of Hayward Wednesday evening after he reportedly robbed a man and scared others at Stoneridge Shopping Center.

Calling it a bizarre case, Theisen also asked that Hamid, who is still in custody, be ordered to stay out of the mall if he does post bail and leaves jail.

Through an interpreter, Hamid requested a public defender and was scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. Thursday where he is expected to enter a plea.

According to reports, Hamid was yelling "Allah is power" and "Islam is great" while holding a pen in a fist over his head and witnesses said he had been shouting anti-Christian comments.

Pleaanton Police Lt. Mike Elerick said the man was not provoked and didn't threaten violence, but he committed robbery when he grabbed and broke a crucifix off a man's neck.

Police said they weren't aware of a prior criminal history for the man.

"We had multiple people calling 911," Elerick said. "One female was crouching down and hiding from him. He definitely scared quite a few people."

The enemy who wants to destroy this country are in office. They are worse than any foreign invader.

Rupert Murdoch inks
deal with Saudi prince
Al-Walid once boasted of influence
on Fox News coverage of Muslims

Media mogul Rupert Murdoch, owner of the Fox News Channel, strengthened his strategic partnership with Prince Al-Walid bin Talal, acquiring a stake in the Saudi royal's Rotana media conglomerate.

As WND reported, the Saudi prince, who owns a 5.7 percent share of Fox News, claimed in 2005 he persuaded Murdoch to immediately stop the top-rated cable network from identifying unrest in France as "Muslim riots."

Daily Variety reported News Corp. will take a 10 percent stake in Rotana, with an option to acquire another 10 percent.

The paper said the News Corp.-Rotana pact marks the most significant investment yet by a Western media company in the Arab world.

Last summer, News Corp.'s Fox and Rotana launched two Fox-branded English language channels in the Middle East. Rotana also has a deal to distribute Fox fare on DVD throughout the Middle East, Variety said.

The new pact will include the launch of new Fox-Rotana TV channels.

Variety said the deal will help Walid's cash flow, which has been hit hard by the global economic recession, particularly his large stake in Citi Group bank.

In 2005, Walid recounted his influence on the Fox News Channel's coverage of Muslims during a panel at the Arab and World Media Conference in Dubai. He noted that during violent street protests in France, Fox News ran a banner at the bottom of the screen that said "Muslim riots."

"I picked up the phone and called Murdoch ... [and told him] these are not Muslim riots, these are riots out of poverty," al-Walid said.

"Within 30 minutes, the title was changed from Muslim riots to civil riots."

WND asked Fox News, at the time, to respond. Spokeswoman Irena Briganti said she was not aware of any phone call from the prince but acknowledged the network changed the banner after receiving complaints.

"We had several calls from people around the world and discovered the issue was a little more complicated than how it was being characterized," she said.

Al-Walid drew international attention in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks when his $10 million gift was rejected by New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

The prince visited the site of the World Trade Center in October 2001 and presented Giuliani with the donation to a relief fund, calling the terrorist attacks "a tremendous crime."

But in a written statement issued by his publicist during the visit, the prince appeared to place blame for the attacks on the U.S.

"At times like this one, we must address some of the issues that led to such a criminal attack," he said. "I believe the government of the United States of America should re-examine its policies in the Middle East and adopt a more balanced stance toward the Palestinian cause."

An angered Giuliani returned the donation. A few days later, the prince blamed the mayor's decision on "Jewish pressures."

The prince reportedly gave half a million dollars to the controversial U.S. Muslim lobby group Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR, in 2002 for a campaign to defend Islam in U.S. society.

The donation, given to Executive Director Nihad Awad during a visit to Saudi Arabia, helped buy a collection of Islamic books for 3,000 public libraries in the U.S. The contribution also financed a media campaign in the U.S. for CAIR.

A new WND Books publication, "Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That's Conspiring to Islamize America," presents firsthand evidence CAIR is acting as a front for a well-funded conspiracy of the Muslim Brotherhood – the parent of al-Qaida and Hamas – to infiltrate the American system and help pave the way for Saudi-style Islamic law to rule the U.S.

An estimated 80 percent of U.S. mosques are supported largely with funds and imams from Saudi Arabia, where the strict Wahhibist interpretation of Islam dominates the kingdom.

WND reported in 2005 the Senate Judiciary Committee held hearings in 2005 in response to a yearlong study by a Washington human-rights group asserting the government of Saudi Arabia was disseminating propaganda through American mosques that teaches hatred of Jews and Christians and instructs Muslims that they are on a mission behind enemy lines in a land of unbelievers.

Fifteen senators, including Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., responded to the report by the Center for Religious Freedom at Freedom House with a letter to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice demanding the Bush administration take stronger action against Riyadh.

Pastor Roger, I read on the web this morning that some Muslim radicals in Washington State were cheering about the death of the police officers and putting up nasty pictures around that town. The problem is much bigger than what is being reported on. According to the article they stated that it was in a sense a war on whites and those who do not agree with them.
It seems some of these groups are being inspired by belief that the president supports radical Islam.
