Here is a short one I came up with - I will try to better next time.
Bowls of almonds and clusters of grapes Arms of the candlestick before the tall drapes The righteous shall flourish but no fruit is my own Purging stops being cutoff, cast off, and burnt all alone.
What am I?
Hope this isn't too easy but I suspect it will be.

Hmmmmm...I'm being to deep, but the bowls of almonds/arms of the candlestick before the tall drapes is the lampstand in the Temple...I'm just not sure if this all refers to that lampstand or the room... Close?

The Menora then?
Nope - part of the menorah, Whitehorse was on a closer track than you are headed. Think part of a menorah, part of a vine.

Oh. Branches? At first I thought the purging happened to the object, or throught the object, which is why i chose rod at forst. Almonds grew on the staff, and yet it can be used for purging as in threshing. But now I think purging happens to the person to keep this from happening to the branches. As in, "iam the vine, you are the branches." And there are branches on a Mennorah, and the fruit comes through the branches, but it does not belong to the branches. But it's still just a guess and I could be wrong!

Bowls of almonds and clusters of grapes Ex 25:33 and Num 13:23 Arms of the candlestick before the tall drapes Ex 25:33 The righteous shall flourish but no fruit is my own Prov 11:28 and John 15:4 Purging stops being cutoff, cast off, and burnt all alone. How about this one.
Used as a disguise or put on the head I became a boil, but can be eaten like bread Replaced by beauty I contain no leaven I can be covered by purple or shown up to heaven Dry dust is with me though I can serve as water Remembrances are like me as I am poured from the altar.
What am I?
