“Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed”
The GreatestMovie I have Ever SeenIn a time when an African-American can win the nomination of the Democratic Party to be the President of the United States of America, you would think that our educational system would be free from racism, and open to freedom of thought, expression, and inquiry. Nothing could be further from the truth. North America’s Universities do not allow academic freedom--if you question the belief system of “Darwinism”. The last vestiges of the horrible scourge of racism remain firmly entrenched in the science classrooms of our society. A new film called, “Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed”, cuts to the heart of the systematic indoctrination of unbelief in God. In the United States of America, this film opened in 1,100 theatres, and was number 10 at the box-office. Over 1.2 million people have paid to see the film, and now it is coming to Canada.
How could a film, created by a Canadian, Walt Ruloff, cause so much controversy? I recently interviewed the host of “Expelled”, Ben Stein. He told me that, as a speechwriter for Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford, he received a lot of hate mail, but that, since this movie was released, he has been attacked beyond belief. Why are educators, administrators, academics, scientists, and Darwinists so upset? Ben Stein presents the basic question, “how did life begin?” He cannot accept the orthodoxy of the standard Darwinian answer that, a bolt of lightning struck a puddle of mud and, voila, the first cell formed by chance, with over 100,000 moving parts. Throughout the film, he interviews the most notable scientists of the world, and the viewer quickly realizes that, their explanations are bizarre, unscientific, and unbelievable. The most famous evolutionist, Dr. Richard Dawkins, Chair for the Public Understanding of Science at the University of Oxford, outlines his hypothesis that an intelligent life form from another planet may have seeded life on earth.
Belief in aliens is acceptable to the average scientist in academia, but, if, as a scientist, you suggest that God, by intelligent design, created life, then you will be expelled from your academic position. Ben interviews nearly 50 scientists who cannot believe in the “Frankensteinian” bolt of lightning, and therefore, they present the intelligent design hypothesis in their classes and writings, and are, therefore, persecuted, humiliated, fired, or have their research funding removed. Many of these persecuted academics are world-renowned scientists who have made incredible discoveries and advances in knowledge. The intolerance of Darwinists is almost universal throughout the academic world, and, unfortunately, inhibits the advancement of knowledge, as they refuse to allow freedom of inquiry and expression.
Freedom of inquiry is the fundamental platform on which most universities of the world have been established. Harvard University’s promotional material states, “The advancement of knowledge depends fundamentally on the ability of individual scholars to formulate ideas and pursue truth, free from the influence...The university itself, must safeguard the core value of freedom of inquiry.” However, at Harvard, you are not free to inquire about intelligent design. This narrow-minded approach has stunted scientific developments in the field of biology, resulting in a lack of understanding of the intricacies of the cell, and how to cure disease.
The writer and Executive Producer of “Expelled”, Walt Ruloff, is a very successful entrepreneur. By thinking outside of the box, he developed complex computer systems to optimize logistics for large organizations. A majority of Fortune 2000 companies use his logistics systems to control the movements of millions of products and goods around the world. Walt wanted to apply his ingenuity to the biological world to help find cures and treatments for troubling diseases. He quickly found that the scientific community would not allow you to think outside of the box of Darwinism, thereby restricting the advancement of knowledge. Instead of bowing to the high priests of Darwinism, Walt made a movie to challenge their “supremacy”.
Two years ago I was involved in a CBC television debate with Dr. Richard Dawkins. In his documentary entitled, “Religion, the Root of All Evil”, he frequently states that evolution is an indisputable fact, and therefore nothing else should be permitted in the classroom. I challenged him, asking why he is so intolerant of opposing views, to the point where his view is the only acceptable option. I told him that he sounded like a secular fundamentalist. Later in the show, he apologized for sounding like a fundamentalist, but never backed down from his supremacist views.
