Hey Guys, I'm totally digging this girl I hang out with, we have no time left, College is almost over, and I really enjoy being around her. She has this certain bubbliness and adorable sense of humor, bright green eyes and a smile that can kill. But she's not a Christian, and it shows from time to time, and she's had a lot of boyfriends. I'm a complete idiot at this, I've never asked a girl out or anything, but for some reason I can't help but like her, I've been praying so hard about it, and everything seems to be up in the air at this point. I was just wondering, what would you guys do in this situation? What happens if you're a Christian guy who likes a girl who seems, almost out of your league, and definitely more experienced at relationships with the opposite gender? Huh

Personally I would not consider going with her. There is nothing but trouble ahead when a Christian gets involved with a non-believer. It will assuredly cause problems between your both and in your relationship God.

I agree with Pastor Roger, as just for women, goes men. You might want to read this.

II Corinthians 6:14, 17 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing.

Ephesians 5:7, 8, 10, 11 Be not ye ... partakers with them. For ye were sometime darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

This alone says, as Pastor Roger has stated.

I agree with what they have stated. I know of a couple that only one of them is a believer. honestly their marrage is not what most people whould call a marrage at all. in fact currently they do not even live in the same house. before the believer moved out for years infact it was horrid going to their house. you could just feel in the air the conflect in the spirit realm.

I have to agree, seems we are on a roll, doesn't it.  Without God in your relationship, it doesn't stand a chance.  You may feel that as you say (time is running out) and she's (almost out of my league) - maybe God may be answering your prayers. Physical attraction (smile, sense of humor) does not make a relationship and actions (lot of boyfriends)speak louder than words. Let your heart do the thinking not your brain.

Let your heart do the thinking not your brain.

Unfortunately many confuse the heart speaking with the desires of the flesh speaking. We all need to learn the difference.

Hi Wanderer,
I know these things are probably not what you wanted to hear, but they are correct and I can tell you that from personl experience.  I was once married to an unbeliever who was "fun with a great sense of humor" and very worldly.  It was fun at first, but what happened was that I was drawn away from God for a time.  When I returned to the Lord our marriage soured and my husband found some else.
You need to know that although this girl looks fun and exciting right now, God has another that He is preparing for you.  When He brings you two together, you will wonder what you ever saw in this other one and you will be so grateful and thankful you waited on the Lord.
Have faith, stay strong and day dream about the one God is going bring you!
In Christ,
Grammyluv

Amen to that Grammy.  I know some of us here can attest to providing insight and wisdom to several that have come through these forums and suffered a relationship in which they were saved but their partner was not.
