Since Ehud Ohmert, Prime Minister of Israel, is being tried on corruption charges, who will replace him as prime minister of Israel?  I believe his replacement could be Ehud Barak.  But what do you other Christians Unite readers think could happen?

If Olmert is indicted he says he will resign which means an election. The prospects are considered to be Binyamin Netanyahu (Likud), Tzipi Livni (Kadima), and Ehud Barak (Labor).

Some sources think that Olmert is considering naming Transportation Minister Sha'ul Mofaz as his successor, in place of Livni. It is rumored that Olmert intends to make Livni's life difficult in order to bring about her resignation.

I don't hold polls as carrying much weight. All too often polls do not even come close to showing the true statistics of voters. A poll published Monday by daily newspaper Yediot Acharonot showed that Livni could win the election if it were held today and the only choices were those given above. Yet the same poll indicted that Netanyahu is the most fitting person to lead the country at present. Livni did not even come in second; Barak was the runner up, with 20 percent.

This poll shows to me a contradiction and that most people are not yet decided who they would vote for.

One thing that I can be certain of is that the one that it is in God's will to win will win.

I believe much the same way as Pastor Roger does. First, I do believe that we are close to the End Days of this Age of Grace. I firmly believe that GOD will place who HE knows will fulfill HIS Will and Purpose for this TIME. This is especially true when one considers that Israel and Jerusalem will be the center stage and focus for the entire world. If Bible Prophecy is about to be fulfilled, the pieces of a MASSIVE puzzle will fall into place perfectly. It makes no difference that there are millions of pieces to this puzzle. They will still fall into perfect place in GOD'S Order and GOD'S Time.

As an individual, I think that Netanyahu would make the best leader, but he might not be the best leader for GOD'S Will and Purpose. I'm positive that Pastor Roger's quote:

Quote
One thing that I can be certain of is that the one that it is in God's will to win will win.

is 100% correct, so it really doesn't matter who I think would be the best leader.

I was just thinking about something that I want to share. The fulfillment of Bible Prophecy proves the HOLY BIBLE, and it also gives us a glimpse of the AWESOME POWER AND MAJESTY OF GOD. The FIRST COMING OF CHRIST was a fulfillment of Bible Prophecy. The series of events involving the FIRST COMING OF CHRIST were far beyond chance. If chance were to be applied, only highly skilled math teachers would understand the terms. In other words - it wasn't chance at all - rather a fulfilled promise of GOD. The same will be true of the RAPTURE, the Tribulation Period, the SECOND COMING OF CHRIST, and Eternity. Everything will be fulfilled perfectly by GOD, and it will have NOTHING to do with chance. Finally, know that all was foretold in the HOLY BIBLE thousands of years ago. This is just one of countless reasons why we know that the HOLY BIBLE isn't just a book - IT'S THE WORD OF GOD!
