No, I've never studied it.

I was always curious as to how they find the right note without any frets.

I guess your fingers get use to it. My college offers a course in it. As much as I love strings, I’m thinking about taking the class. I was hoping someone here played one, so I could ask them a few questions about it.

I do.... well..I used to years ago.  Used to be pretty good too.  Awesome instrument!  Very difficult.  Beautiful.  I used to be in to Irish music, bluegrass, not really any of today's country.  And of course Bach!  

You got me thinking Huh I need to break that thing out again.   Wink
