World Vision Named Primary Charity by Jim Clark and Associates

by Staff
March 31, 2008

INDIANAPOLIS, (christiansunite.com) -- Jim Clark, entrepreneur, athlete, Founder, Chairman and CEO of retirement planning firm Jim Clark and Associates, and Founder of Project Love the Children, has named World Vision as recipient of 50 percent of the proceeds raised from his fundraising swim across the English Channel, scheduled for September, 2008.

The balance of the proceeds will be shared by Great Britain's Rainbows Children's Hospice in Loughborough, Leicestershire, and Brian House Children's Hospice in Blackpool, consequent to Dr. Julie Bradshaw, M.B.E.'s nomination; Shriner's Hospitals for Children in Indianapolis, Indiana, consequent to Mr. Paul Page's nomination, and Faith in Practice, nationally headquartered in Houston, Texas, consequent to Dr. Brian Strake Parsley, M.D.'s nomination.

This year's Project Love the Children's event to raise money for disadvantaged children worldwide will be the Swimming for the Children International Telethon, the focal point of which will be Clark's September swim across the English Channel. To learn more about Project Love the Children, call Larry Whitlock, Vice Chairman of Jim Clark and Associates at 1-800- 843-0605.

Commenting on the event, Clark said: "Every 15 seconds a child dies from malnutrition. With the Good Lord's help, we hope to make a difference. There are no finer children's organizations on earth than those whom we've named for support. We're thankful for a chance to be a small part of the work that they do."

"We're thrilled that Mr. Clark has decided to share the proceeds from his English Channel swim with World Vision. His time, effort and generosity are a wonderful resource," said Ryan Floth, Area Advancement Director for World Vision.
