Well my boys are killing me slowly.... We went 22 innings without a run. Broke that streak tonight (yes, I was there!) but we still lost 4-2 Chicago. Drat. And double-drat. I'm not so sure we can recover, but hey....it's baseball....I love the game....and I love the Mariners. Win or lose....I'm a fan! Well the Arizona Diamondbacks have won 6 straight games.

Am I "painfully" honest or what?? But then you haven't heard any of my fishing stories yet!
Hello Grammyluv, I used to go fishing years ago. The last one I caught was bigger than our car, BUT IT GOT AWAY. It was too big for us to take home anyway.

I went fishing with my grand-dad and we met a catfish so big it tried to take us home for dinner.

I have to go to my room and cry now... Hello Grammyluv, I used to go fishing years ago. The last one I caught was bigger than our car, BUT IT GOT AWAY. It was too big for us to take home anyway. Ah yes..."the one that got away"... I went fishing with my grand-dad and we met a catfish so big it tried to take us home for dinner. Oops! Wrong catfish.... Bet that's not it either?

That depends on how they have been feeding and whether they have been in muddy or clear waters.

Around this area the water is muddy. Though the cats, and dog enjoy catfish.

I won't touch any fish from the waters around here unless they are private lakes that have been kept up. The waters here are polluted and muddy while the fish are worm infested. Years ago when I went with my grand Dad the fishing was great and a good way to supplement the grocery tab. We would have fish several times a week. Now to get good fish it costs a fortune.

That's one thing that I can't understand. Seattle is right on Puget Sound with the Pacific just past that. And one can't afford to "buy" fish here either. It's not like we have to import it. But if you're looking for clean running water....we've got so many lakes, rivers and streams here. Come on up! The fishing is great! And my fish story? Once I reeled in this monster trout. The thing was huge! Caught it on a treble hook, but some how while scooping him up in the net and him flopping around so much, I got one of the hooks right through the webbing between my thumb and forefinger! Well my husband, took a pair of needlenose and pulled it out backwards lickety split. I didn't feel a thing. That big ol' fish was just as quiet and still the whole time my husband did that. And the fish was so big; really nothing short of a small salmon, so I took and made a "salmon" loaf out of him and took it to a potluck!

That would still be an ouch. I never got stuck with a hook but my son did. He pulled back on a line to set the hook in a fish that took the bait. Instead the hook came flying back at him and set in the back of his shoulder. He pulled it out himself.
We also caught a cat once and not the fish type. My son came home from fishing and left his poles with hooks and lures still attached by the back door. I was awakened to a horrible lot of noise in the house. One of the lures was minnow with all kinds of hooks on it. I guess the cat thought it was a real minnow and tried to eat it. He drug that pole all round the house making a real big mess and breaking a lot of things along the way. The hook was set pretty deeply in it's mouth. A lot of scratches and 15 minutes later I finally got it out with just a small hole in it's cheek that healed nicely. The cat was fine but it wouldn't eat fish after that.

I'll bet! Once he figured out that maybe fish can bite back!
