Nice!  Is Randy still pitching there or is he retired, traded?  I loved him when he pitched for us.  "Mr. Snappy!"
Well I went and splurged on a new Mariner hooded sweatshirt and I'm off to the game in about 45 min!  Love that "walking distance"!
Adios!

Oh my gosh!  I had so much fun at the ball park tonight!  But wouldn't you know, all the real action started after I left.  I stayed until the top of the 8th and the the score was STILL 1-1.  By the time I get home it's 3-3!  They are still playing the bottom of the 9th and Texas is ahead 5-4!  Good Grief.  I would've stayed the whole game but those bleachers in the cheap seats are HARD and my hip has had a pinched nerve in it for a week.  Poor old Grammyluv!
I'll see how I feel tomorrow.  I may have to go back and see a tie-breaker!
Man!  I love this game!
Cheers!

Have to say I am a Tiger fan when it comes to the pro's....and it is hard to get to one of their games when you are living in Bama....so I settle for the minors and the Huntsville Stars....  Original minor team of some of the greats like Jose Conseco, Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Mark McQuire....  And they all played during the same year.... that was the first year of Joe Davis Stadium.... I was selling peanuts down the isles.... that was an awesome job...got to watch a game and make money too.

Oh?  Way cool!  I would have a hard time working and watching the game too.  I'm afraid that I wouldn't get a lot of peanuts sold unless they all came to me!
I'm assuming "Bama" is Alabama?  At least I've heard it called so.  (I'm such a Yankee) My dad and 1/2 sister live in Mobile.  My dad being originally from Georgia.  I was down that way for a little over a year before coming back home to Seattle in 01'.  Beautiful country but too hot for a Northwesterner!  Same thing when I lived in Arizonia!  We Northerners like things nice and cool and are absolutely dying if the temp gets near or over 90!  Unless I'm camping by a cool creek or river where I can cool off that is!

Yeah it was fun...but I was also good...sold my quota even on the slowest nights (selling quota got me a bigger percentage)...  Would go round with the ice cream girl and we would sell sundae's...  Smiley  Don't laugh to much...it honestly worked.

And yea Bama is Alabama.  And it does get hot down here...the worst of it is the muggy humidity.  Nothing like 110 degrees with 100% humidity....

Auuuggghhh!  Didn't want to mention the humidity because everyone else does!  But yeah, if I had anything to do like the laundry mat, groceries, etc. , I did it by 10 am so that I could back under the air conditioning!
Well I'm back to the ball park for the tie-breaker!   Go M's!

Ha ha ha.  Very funny!
But let me share something!  Some good that has come out of the season already!  I have a DATE!  Yes.  Ol' Grammyluv has a date to a ball game with a very nice Christian gentleman that works for the mission also!  If that don't beat all, I don't know what does.  I had pretty much resigned myself to singleness and maybe I still will.  It's just a date after all.  But he did catch my eye 3 months ago, when I first started here!  When I found out he was a Mariner fan also, I took the initiative (and a lot of mustered up courage) and asked if he'd like to go sometime.  I about fell over when he said, "Yes." !!
