I figured I've been on here long enough that it was time to share a bit of my testimony.  You can read about some of it here:

A very touching story, sister, one that has a good ending. Thank you for sharing that with us.

We have an amazingly good God!  I actually was saved back in the 70's but quickly fell out again.  Been fighting my whole life with addiction, family and moving toward God and away again.  Praise Him that he never gave up!  Now my hope is to share with other women just like me and give them the same hope and love that I received when I was a client in this very place!

You can read about us here if you'd like:

Sister, I had no choice but to remove the link. There were many requests for donations and linking to such is against the forum rules.

Yes, sister God's mercy and faithfulness to us is indeed wonderful and beyond understanding. He is indeed worthy of our praise for Him.

Oh sorry PR.  No worries.

DW)  Yes, my daughter Jeanette (Quintana) and I are on good terms now.  That article was written in 05'.  She is the mother of my very precious grandson that I'm always talking about.  I've been spending my days off at her house with the kids!  She has been very generous to me in the past couple of years and I call her or she calls me several times a week!

Thank you, gentlemen for your support and love here!

In Christ,
Yvette

Hello GrammyLuv,

Sister, you do have a beautiful testimony, and you are a treasured Sister In Christ. I copied down one of your quotes:

Quote
"Every day is good for me, whether it's Christmas or Friday,"

Sister, this is SO TRUE for Christians! WHY? - Every day belongs to JESUS CHRIST and we belong to HIM! We have Eternal LIFE in HIS LIFE, so every day is a celebration, even during this short life. I wish that the lost could understand this. We aren't happy because we're rich and everything is going our way. We're happy because we have a BETTER HOPE that isn't of this world, and our HOPES are ALL PROMISES OF GOD! Our Faith and Trust is in One Precious and Holy ONE WHO never fails. HE is our ALL-IN-ALL!

Love In Christ,
Tom

Ephesians 1:18-23 NASB I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

Grammy i'm not sure if you know how much your testimony helps others who may not quite have enough courage to stand up and tell their life before and up to christ.  After christ is a joy, it's the before that for many is hurtful and hard and sometimes embarrassing.  But testimony like yours and others i have read gives me strength.  It is unbelievable how the Lord never gave up on you...he was always there.  It is funny how we all have to live and learn, I have come to learn if we had nothing happen in our lives, we could not grow and that is why things happen the way they do.  I also think sometimes hard headed people like myself have to go through a bunch of trials to get it, I feel like saying Lord just do the V8 thing, you know i'm stubborn!  I am tickled for you that the Lord has worked in such a positive way after such a hard battle for you and your family, and heartfelt prayers that he continues to hold you guys tight in his arms.

Hello itsmeagaingod,

Grammyluv is an inspiration to all of us. In fact, many people on the forum are inspirations and provide encouragement for others. That should be a common goal for all of us, and all of us have things in our past to be ashamed of. As Christians, we now have the GOSPEL OF THE GRACE OF GOD, and there's no shame or embarrassment there. There would be for all of us BUT FOR THE PERFECT SACRIFICE OF JESUS CHRIST ON THE CROSS! HE Loved us enough to die for us, and NOT ONE of us deserved HIS LOVE AND ULTIMATE GIFT! We all have a common past, BUT THERE IS NO CONDEMNATION FOR THOSE IN CHRIST. CHRIST PAID IT ALL, AND ALL TO HIM WE OWE!

Love In Christ,
Tom

Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable GIFT, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour Forever!

BUT THERE IS NO CONDEMNATION FOR THOSE IN CHRIST. [/b]

That's the big one there and such comfort it gives!  Knowing this and knowing truely and fully in my heart that I am forgiven is what allows me to share my story.  And if by sharing I help just one lost soul then I will be satifsfied.

And welcome to the forums Itsmeagaingod.  I hope you like it here!

You are right bep we all have things in our past that we are ashamed of.  In that post I guess I was referring more to myself than grammyluv, because it is hard to face the things in your life that have been hard, hurtful, and embarrassing, let alone tell others about it.  The strength the Lord has given those who testify in this way is tremendous.  Being a nurse I find her to be absolutely courageous and strong to have overcome what she has.  I have seen others battling the same things and it is a tough road.  The Lord has definately given her unmeasurable strength.  Grammyluv again you are insprition to alot of us...keep your chin high and your eyes on the Lord.

I must say, my sister, after reading that newspaper article that you have had a really rough life before you came to know the Lord. I don't know if I could have lived(?) as you did in your sinful life w/o going completely crazy, but God can still protect folks even when we don't love Him. I say AMEN! to your testimony. Smiley
