Eggnog.   Grin

But this year can't have it.  Fattening.

I'll just go to the store and stand there and look at it on the shelf.

Oklahoma Howdy to All,

Didn't everyone know that everything you eat at Thanksgiving and Christmas is no fat health food?  Eggnog, whipped cream, pie, cake, and all (only on those days) have zero calories and are health foods.   Grin

Symphony - throw some candied cherries, pecans, and whipped cream into that eggnog.   Grin

CHOW DOWN! - Eat like a monk the rest of the year.   Grin

In Christ,
Tom

Whipped cream with chocolate shavings on top.

Oklahoma Howdy to Whitehorse,

That will work fine in the ultimate eggnog. However, we might as well add coconut, those tiny colored candies, and a generous slosh of caramel.   Grin

I know, Willow.  Even if I just stand there and look at it... Roll Eyes

Mmmm, this is delicious hot cocoa:

1 tblspn cocoa, 2 tbspn sugar; 1 cup water in sauce pan.  Heat.  While it is simmering and bubbling, separately blend dry powder milk, 1/2 cup, with 1 tsp cornstarch.  Add 1/2 cup cold water, mix well.  Add a little of the hot cocoa liquid to this cold liquid, then carefully, add this mixture to the sauce pan of hot cocoa.  Keep stirring slowly, cooking for several minutes.

Get your miniature marshmallows handy, (and/or Whitehorse's whipped cream);

The hot cocoa should be slightly creamy by now;

Get your favorite mug, hit that badboy with the marshmallows in the bottom;

Now, pour hot cocoa into mug.  Wink

Top with Whitehorse's whipped cream and shavings.

Hand it to bep b4 he starts throwing a tantrum.

Wait 'til he's not looking.

Grab it back again.

Oklahoma Howdy to All,

My wife and I were listening to the radio about an hour ago and I discovered she has a secret way of determining Christmas is around the corner. She turned up the radio and told me to listen.

I kid you not - It was a rendition of Porky Pig doing Blue Christmas - accompanied by a guitar and kazoo. It was hilarious. Yes, Christmas is just around the corner.

In Christ,
Tom

Thanks Symphony! Grin I can't wait to try it!

BEP, I would have given my last dollar to hear that (which isn't saying much now that my Christmas shopping is done...)   Grin

By the way, the magic Christmas tree elf rebelled this year. D' ya suppose I ought to put the tree up tonight?  Roll Eyes

Yes, you're welcome, Whitehorse.   Smiley

I thot you were suppose to put tannenbaum up on  Thanksgiving Day, Whitehorse.   Lips Sealed

Yes, bep, I don't know if I've ever heard that one.  That sounds like  it would be hilarious.  I can listen to the Chipmunks and Alvin, anytime.  The dogs barking jingle bells I've heard a million times, but its still a good one.  Porky Pig tho would be good for sure.

One I use to have a whole album of, but discarded it( Roll Eyes), was Snoopy's Christmas.  I forget the band that sang that(wasn't the Beatles, was it?).  It has the Red Baron zooming around in the background.

(I guess my humor with the hot cocoa was'nt very funny.  Sad)

Sorry, we had a distraction here. The gas line on our house ruptured, just at a perfect time. Well, I guess it's really no big deal since it is 50 degrees here now. It will be Monday before we can get it fixed. I'm glad we have family close (hot showers at least).

Symphony, I rebelled this year.

No, actually I have a very good reason. Very excited, I am. And I loved your hot chocolate humor.

BEP, I'm so sorry to hear that. That stinks. I'm glad you guys are safe, though, and have some nearby family.
