Brothers and Sisters,

Some of us talked about a Bible Study that many Christians would be happy to participate in and enjoy. THE PRECIOUS PROMISES OF GOD is a very broad topic that should involve a lengthy list of things that we all give Thanks for on a regular basis.

As a Christian, what things are different because you now belong to JESUS CHRIST?

When you think about our LORD and SAVIOUR, what absolute facts make you happy?

As a Christian, what Promises has GOD already fulfilled in your life?

As a Child Of GOD, what do you look forward to that only GOD can provide, and HE'S Promised to do just that?

Brothers and Sisters, I hope you decide to participate. This is really just a thread to share what makes us happy and blessed as Christians. Please share a portion of Scripture and/or your thoughts on this uplifting topic. I'm hoping that the posts here will be encouraging and help to strengthen each of us in CHRIST.

This won't be a thread for argument or debate. If you disagree with something and wish to discuss your disagreement, start a separate thread in the debate area.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Forgiveness Of Sins

Romans 4:7-8  Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

Brothers and Sisters,

We now have peace with GOD because the Blood of JESUS CHRIST on the CROSS has washed our sins away.

There are a host of other supporting Scriptures, and you are most welcome to post them. The examples are too numerous to mention, but this is one of the purposes of this Bible Study. I have too many favorite portions of Scripture to mention on this specific topic, but I do want to list one more right now. Please list all the portions of Scripture you want to on this Promise of GOD and feel free to start other Promises of GOD.

Colossians 2:13  And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

Love In Christ,
Tom

Joh 10:28  And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

The security of knowing that I am His for eternity and one of Brother David's favorite verses:

Rev 21:4  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Through Him it is the knowledge that we are forever His no matter what our past life has been like, that it will be forgiven, to fully understand this love that He has for us is simply overwhelming.

Joh 9:4  I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
