I was reading about the Rapture and tribulation last night and I realized something.

Those who hear the gospel but don't accept Jesus, will not be able to get saved after the Rapture. If this is the case than almost all the characters wouldn't been saved. Making the whole series wrong.

GOOD MORNING BROTHER DAVID AND ALL!

There is disagreement about the timing of the Rapture:  Pre-Tribulation, Mid-Tribulation, Post-Tribulation. Regardless, many people will be saved during the Tribulation Period. In fact, many of those who are saved will be hunted down and killed because of their faith in JESUS CHRIST. The time that will be too late to genuinely accept JESUS CHRIST as LORD and SAVIOUR will be the SECOND COMING OF CHRIST at the end of the Tribulation Period. By the way, THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST at the end of the Tribulation Period is a Bible Fact not subject to disagreement unless one rejects the plain and blunt teachings of the Holy Bible.

Brother David, there is a more important issue to consider when talking about a person's last opportunity to accept CHRIST:  physical death. Our lives on this earth are very uncertain, and they could end at any moment. This is why it's so important not to put off the most important decision of a lifetime:  accepting JESUS CHRIST as LORD and SAVIOUR.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Romans 5:17-18 NASB
For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.  So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all men.

Romans 8:1-2 NASB
Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

We do see all through the book of Revelations where people will be tormented and killed for being "in the Lord".

Brothers, that wasn't my question.

The characters heard the gospel but didn't believe. The Bible says that the ones who hear but don't believe when Rapture happens, can't be saved during the tribulation. Is left behind wrong?

Hello Brother David,

I haven't read the Left Behind Series. I simply know what the Bible teaches. I don't know how much of the Left Behind Series is just a novel and fiction.

Many people throughout the centuries have heard The GOSPEL of the Grace of GOD and don't believe it. Your question was answered with what the Bible teaches, and the answer is correct. Many people will be saved during the Tribulation Period.

Love in Christ,
Tom

Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable GIFT, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour Forever!

I cannot attest to the accuracy of the Left Behind series either as I have not seen the movie nor the books. However the Bible tells us that all will have heard the Gospel by the time the tribulation starts yet it also tells us that many will be tribulation saints. Tribulation Saints are those that turn to the Lord during the tribulation.

Mat 24:14  And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
