May I ask pray for my little one he is 8 years old and came home from school today throwing up.  Probably a flu bug bug they always seem to hit him hard.  Please pray for the rest of the kids.  Its hard when all 6 of us come down with the flu.  I'm sure you can imagine.  We didn't go to church tonight but I think we all just need a little rest tonight too.

I hope this isn't selfish but I'm not feeling real good myself tonight and the doctor I work for said it could be a virus that has settle in the muscles.  Or is just a bad case of the Fibromyalgia flaring up not sure.

I feel real bad asking so I pray this was okay.

Thank you

Hello Precious2God,

Of course it's okay to ask for prayer. In fact we encourage this as part of our fellowship. You and your family will be in my prayers and stay in my prayers. My wife and I just had the flu, and I might still have part of it. There's a near epidemic of flu in many places, and our city is one of them. Quite a few on the forum have had it or have it now. From what I've heard, most cases just make the people really sick for several days. I haven't heard any reports that it becomes life-threatening for great numbers of people like some strains have in the past.

Love In Christ,
Tom

No, it is not selfish to ask for prayer. My prayers for you all.

The hospital tonight said (I was there with another grandchild with the flu) that it is really wide spread. Not just through select cities but pretty much nationwide. There isn't just one flu strain being reported but a number of them. The one that is hitting here has a person sick for about a week. The only serious problem with it is one a person also contracts an ear infection or pneumonia along with it. Otherwise it is a fairly mild strain of the flu as long as you take good care of yourself.

Hello Pastor Roger,

You and your family are also in my prayers. I know that one of your grandchildren was just born, so I will be praying that he doesn't get this. I would much rather be sick than see my children and grandchildren sick. So far, my kids and grandkids are well, but one of my brothers and his wife are probably one step away from the pneumonia. I know that great numbers are sick right now, so I think it would be nice for us all to pray for each other.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Yes we will be praying for a rapid recovery and a hedge of protection.
We have a church family that is also with 6 children and illness runs through them as well and when it does it is a couple of weeks of illness in their house.

Hi Precious2God:

It certainly isn't selfish to ask for prayer.  I rarely miss an opportunity to pray for others. I just love when God's people unite and things get done.

I will pray for rapid recovery for you and your little one-I have an 8 year old too.  I will also pray that God will protect the rest of the family from getting sick.

My little guy is feeling better and went back to school.  So far so good for the rest of us.  Disinfected the house yesterday big time.  Have the most blessed day and thank you so much for your prayers.

Hello Precious2God,

My wife is a school teacher. Large percentages of the students and teachers are getting sick. I'll just give thanks that nearly all of the cases are considered minor. I'm not hinting that it's any fun, but most folks start getting over it in a matter of days if they take care of themselves. We should all make this a matter of prayer.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Philippians 4:4-8 NASB
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.
