"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirit whether they are of God: because many falfse prophets are gone out into the world.

Test every Bible teacher to see if their major teachings are from the Lord Jesus Christ.  Why?  Because of the many false prophets who have gone out into the world!  The prosperity preachers, the cults who deny the Deity of Jesus Christ, the occults who worship the Devil, and liberal Protestant apostasy from the Word demands that we test the teachings of every Bible teacer and preacher.

There are many tares (false teachings and false prophets) among the wheat (true Christians), even those claiming to be Christians are leading others astray.
