One of my English students who is in Russia started going to a church started by Americans & she was REAL happy, but when they wanted tithe she thought they were trying to steal money from her. I tried to explain to her,but she STILL thinks they were trying to steal her money. How can I help her, without shoving it down her throat ? She believes in God,but shoving it down her throat would turn her away from wanting to know at ALL. I was wondering if you would please keep her in prayer.

tell her to go to a different church. Noone should be forcing anyone to tithe.

Tithes today is money given to God's work from the heart. If she is not comfortable giving it to this church then tell her to give it to help others where ever her heart is lead by God to do so. i.e. A poor family that needs food etc. That may help to get the point across.

I will be glad to join in prayer for this person to gain understanding in this.

David James,they weren't forcing her too.They just
were saying that she should. She liked THAT one,
because there were alot of Americans there & she
yearns to learn English. Most of the Churches over
there are Russian Orthodox & that those churches
think to much of there statues. Maybe I should call
them idols.
I thank you all VERY much for your prayers, she could
VERY much use them.
