if someone confesses they are a sinner and accept Jesus as often and believe Jesus is God, are they saved? Even if they do things contary to Bible?

Hi David,

It is a very difficult thing to know the heart of someone else and only God can truly do that. I would have to say though that I would have to doubt their salvation if the person purposefully and knowingly rejected the teachings of the Bible and did as they wanted to do instead.

what if someone doesn't realize it is wrong? They know it as fact.

Hello Brother David,

You do ask some hard questions. The real answer many times is that ONLY GOD knows. Anything else would be just a guess. I met many hard and unusual people during 25 years in law enforcement. Some had been in and out of prison most of their lives and had what they described as Salvation experiences many times. As an ordinary man, I would seriously doubt they were saved and kept doing horrible things over and over again, but only GOD really knows. The Bible clearly indicates there are changes when someone is Saved, but I've met many people who appeared to change for a short period of time and go right back to the gutter to wallow and stay. I think that whoever tries to answer this question honestly will have to add what Brother Bob and I have added. We can doubt and guess, but only GOD knows.

Brother, I'm sorry that I couldn't help you more.

Love In Christ,
Tom

I keep getting called Brother Bob for some reason.  Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

That's ok though. I take that as a compliment.  Wink

Grin   Can I claim not engaging my brain before engaging my typing?  I can remember more than my own name on most days. I do have many in my thoughts and prayers often, and maybe this was one of those times.
