What prophet had a vision of a desolate day when no birds were in the sky?

Sulfur/Brimstone:
(Rev 19:20 GW) The beast and the false prophet who had done miracles for the beast were captured. By these miracles the false prophet had deceived those who had the brand of the beast and worshiped its statue. Both of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
(Rev 19:20 KJV) And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
I have been somewhat[health wise] laid up, and just had not been on here for awhile. But,!! PRAISE THE LORD!! I can still and until the time my Saviour calls me home, I can truly and with a joyful heart, say "It is well with me Soul"
All I can say here is I have smelled burning sulfur and it is not nice, just like rotten eggs, it does. Also I have the memory and can still smell what burning flesh smells like. When I was in Viet-Nam we had an APC that took a direct hit with an incenderary RPG, all eleven died as the APC burned.
Thank you Jesus for my salvation, and I know I wont have to face or know the second death.
Amen!!!

A little more on this. Brimstone means a burning stone and sulphur which now defines a specific substance originally meant "to burn." The Greek word here is theion which in it's original sense meant "flashing" or "sudden hot bursts of light or flames." Sulphur is used here because it is known to "flash" when exposed to extreme heat. theion is used in other places to mean "divine" as in a divine thing.
In any of these situations we can be sure that it isn't pleasant.

Hello Brother Dave,
I'm sorry to hear that you've been having a health problem. You will be in our prayers. This Christmas was a pretty rough time for many, including many of the sweet Christians who fellowship here with us. Some of our friends and family members have also gone home to be with the LORD. As for the rest of us,
who knows when JESUS CHRIST will catch us up to GLORY?
Love In Christ,
Tom

Brother Dave, I'm sorry, I meant to comment on this also. I got busy with some phone calls and posted before I meant to. I will definitely be praying for you in these things. Yes, we definitely have plenty to praise God for even when these fleshly bodies fail us.

Thank you all for your answers and comments. Brother Dave, I'm sorry to hear you have not been feeling well and will lift you up in prayer. I don't have many "major" ailments yet but I can say that I anticipate going home each and every day. It breaks my heart to see the way of the world these days.

Hello and welcome to Christians Unite forums. I hope that you enjoy your time here. I do look forward to having some great Christian fellowship with you.
I don't know which post in this thread that you are referring to. However, there are many that do consider Abraham as being the first prophet. Yet others will claim that it was Enoch and yet others even place Adam in this list. When speaking of the major prophets it is considered that Isaiah was the first and in the minor prophets it was Hosea.
The first use of the word prophet in English versions of scripture is found in Gen 20:7 which is in fact referencing Abraham.
