False. She was David's great-grandmother.

Rth 4:13  So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife: and when he went in unto her, the LORD gave her conception, and she bare a son.
Rth 4:14  And the women said unto Naomi, Blessed be the LORD, which hath not left thee this day without a kinsman, that his name may be famous in Israel.
Rth 4:15  And he shall be unto thee a restorer of thy life, and a nourisher of thine old age: for thy daughter in law (Ruth), which loveth thee, which is better to thee than seven sons, hath born him.
Rth 4:16  And Naomi took the child, and laid it in her bosom, and became nurse unto it.
Rth 4:17  And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David.

Ahab

1 Kings 22:17 Then Micaiah told him, "In a vision I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains, like sheep without a shepherd. And the LORD said, 'Their master has been killed.* Send them home in peace.'"

Least I think this is the verse you are looking for sister.

Which epistle says that the flood waters at the time of Noah symbolize baptism?

(1 Peter, 2 Peter, 1 John)

While still on this topic, which verse calls baptism in water a "like figure" and what does it mean by "like figure"?

Well I have read all of 1 Peter and I can't find it, but I did find what I needed this morning in my reading.
We have an employee at work and although she is a Christian, she is causing strife and division and some of that seems to be directed at me at this point in time.  Through this reading this morning I know that God has my back and I just need to keep on serving Him in humbleness and not try to repay evil for evil which of course where my flesh wants to go.  I'm just going to keep doing the next right thing and let my actions speak as to who I belong too!
So thanks to you PR because without your question, I may not have recieved exactly what I needed today and now I have peace if not the answer to your question.
Next batter up!?

I'm glad that you were comforted in such a manner. We never know when God will use the words we have said to help others even when we in our own mind may have meant it for another reason. This is the same thing in regards to our actions. sister, you know you are already in my prayers daily. I will include this person that is having and causing such problems for others. Yes, "like figure" can be in regards to us attempting to be as Christ, to allow His love shine through us to others.

The verse I am talking about is the one following the answer to your last question.

1Pe 3:21  The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

The words "like figure" in this instance is referring to Noah's Flood in comparison to the "Baptism" that saves us. Not the washing of the outside of the cup but that which washes the inside of the cup which is by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. As many rejected to heed God's word and accept His saving grace there are many that still do so now.

Even though I didn't find the answer but found my answer I'm glad to see that I was on track.  I use the NIV study bible and so the wording is different but the meaning is the same.
Some don't care for the NIV but I've had this bible since 1988 and I can understand it.  I also read "The Way" when I'm just reading to read and not really doing a study.

The is a verse in the Way in Psalms 17, the last verse that reads in part, "as for me, my contentment comes in knowing all is well between us".  I just love that although when I first read it years ago, I was in the first struggling stages of my recovery.  I pondered this for a couple of weeks because I wanted so badly to be in that place where I knew that all was well between me and God.  After a couple of weeks God revealed to me that "all is well between us" each time I admit a sin and recieve His forgiveness, everytime I do the next right thing, everytime I listen to His instruction and carry it out to the best of my ability.  It was so simple but such a revelation to me!  I have always remembered that time it became so simply clear and recieved such comfort in it.

In Christ,
Yvette

It is always a wonderful moment when we are struggling with something to have the Lord open our eyes in such a way and to show us just how simple it actually is. We can and should Praise God daily for His wonderful mercies that He continually shows to us.

Who was the king of Judah when the long lost Book of the Law was found in the temple?

(1 Kings, 2 Kings, Acts)
