there was two:
(Mat 26:59 KJVR)  Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death;

(Mat 26:60 KJVR)  But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,

The 1st witness is mentioned as "This fellow" and the 2nd witness was a "High Priest"  who by his requiring Jesus to answer him, gave the High Priest cause to make this statment:
(Mat 26:65 KJVR)  Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.

What king of Israel claimed to be a devout worshiper of Baal in order to gather together Baal-worshipers and butcher them?

(1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Samuel)

Answer:  Jehu

2 Kings 10:18-28

18  And Jehu gathered all the people together, and said unto them, Ahab served Baal a little; but Jehu shall serve him much.

19  Now therefore call unto me all the prophets of Baal, all his servants, and all his priests; let none be wanting: for I have a great sacrifice to do to Baal; whosoever shall be wanting, he shall not live. But Jehu did it in subtilty, to the intent that he might destroy the worshippers of Baal.

20  And Jehu said, Proclaim a solemn assembly for Baal. And they proclaimed it.

21  And Jehu sent through all Israel: and all the worshippers of Baal came, so that there was not a man left that came not. And they came into the house of Baal; and the house of Baal was full from one end to another.

22  And he said unto him that was over the vestry, Bring forth vestments for all the worshippers of Baal. And he brought them forth vestments.

23  And Jehu went, and Jehonadab the son of Rechab, into the house of Baal, and said unto the worshippers of Baal, Search, and look that there be here with you none of the servants of the LORD, but the worshippers of Baal only.

24  And when they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings, Jehu appointed fourscore men without, and said, If any of the men whom I have brought into your hands escape, he that letteth him go, his life shall be for the life of him.

25  And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, that Jehu said to the guard and to the captains, Go in, and slay them; let none come forth. And they smote them with the edge of the sword; and the guard and the captains cast them out, and went to the city of the house of Baal.

26  And they brought forth the images out of the house of Baal, and burned them.

27  And they brake down the image of Baal, and brake down the house of Baal, and made it a draught house unto this day.

28  Thus Jehu destroyed Baal out of Israel.

Thank you Grammyluv,  Just trying to deal with life I guess you can say.

Answer Ezekiel

Ezekiel 4:1-2

1  Thou also, son of man, take thee a tile, and lay it before thee, and pourtray upon it the city, even Jerusalem:

2  And lay siege against it, and build a fort against it, and cast a mount against it; set the camp also against it, and set battering rams against it round about.

Well life is life but at least we have a wonderfully loving and powerful God that walks with us each step of the way!

"For I know the plans I have for you", declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans for a hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11

This is my very favorite verse and one that I lean on a lot!

In Christ,

Isaiah

(Isa 11:8 KJV)  And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.

The “cockatrice” was a fabulous kind of serpent, supposed to be hatched from the egg of a cock. The serpent here designated is, doubtless, a species of the “adder,” more venomous,

Yes, the word cockatrice is usually attached to a supposedly legendary serpent with wings that hatches from a cocks egg.

The original Hebrew word used here is tsepha‛  tsiph‛ônîy. This is a word for a viper or adder that has a tongue that thrusts out as it hisses. It is not known exactly what kind of viper/adder was meant but it can be seen from the context of the verse that it is different and much more deadly than an asp.

Bethel

(Gen 28:16 KJV)  And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not.

(Gen 28:17 KJV)  And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.

(Gen 28:18 KJV)  And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.

(Gen 28:19 KJV)  And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city was called Luz at the first.
