ANSWER:  Doves

 Ezekiel 7:16

But they that escape of them shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them mourning, every one for his iniquity.

This was a tuff one ,or at least I thought so. I came up with the Dove in verse 7:16. I had a bit of trouble trying to understand that Doves can be related to a moaning sound, until I found this cross verse  in  (Isa 38:14 KJV)  Like a crane or a swallow, so did I chatter: I did mourn as a dove: mine eyes fail with looking upward: O LORD, I am oppressed; undertake for me.
Then I looked up "Mourn" Mourn
MOURN, v.i. [L. maereo.]

1. To express grief or sorrow; to grieve; to be sorrowful. Mourning may be expressed by weeping or audible sounds, or by sobs, sighs or inward silent grief.

Abraham came to mourn for Sarah and to weep. Gen 23.

Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted. Mat 5.

Now it made sense to me

The Turtle Dove or Rain Dove is also called the Mourning Dove. Some misspell this as Morning Dove. It gets it's name from the mournful cooing sound it makes.

Thanks for the information PR, The spelling was proper in my bible, it was "Mourning", I think I was trying to think in the wat people use "Dove's" today, in making referrence to their loved ones, such as times I may call my wife my "Dove" as in love.

So as a mentined in my earlier posting and did some more reading, verse cross referrencing, and using the "Smith bible dictionary" did I come to understand.

Great answers and info folks!  Thanks!  I'll be back on Friday.  I have Wed and Thurs off and don't usually post on those days.
I just want to share something really cool with you all though.  Many of you know that I do intercity missions work.  The mission is in one of the worst crime and drug areas of Seattle.  Tonight my friend (and coworker) and I were standing outside.  One of the biggest drug dealers in the area approched us.  (This is one big bad dude and we weren't sure what he wanted.)  As it turned out we got to witness to him and he even cried!  He shared some of his story with us and said, "I don't want to be like this."  It was absolutely amazing!

We are praying that God will water the seed that was planted tonight, because we all know that God is in the business of changing lives.  No matter who you are, where you're from, or what you've done.  It's never too late!
AMEN!

In Christ,

AMEN! Praise God!

Some of the best witnesses for the Lord have been individuals involved in some prior criminal activity. Yes, God can change the hearts of men. One of the most well known apostles was a man that tortured and killed many Christians before being called to the Lord's service.

I will include this person in my prayers.

ANOTHER AMEN GRAMMYLUV!

I will also keep this person in my prayers. GOD still does exactly as HE please in Heaven and on Earth, so I will pray that this drug dealer does yield himself for GOD'S Use. The life of the Apostle Paul is one of my favorite TRUTHS, but GOD has used countless others in mighty ways. A dear friend of my family spent time in Huntsville for murder, but he yielded himself for GOD'S Use, and GOD used him for a prison ministry the rest of his life. Our dear brother is home with the LORD now, and I feel quite certain that he heard, "Well done - good and faithful servant." Love of GOD can become a powerful force in our lives to reach the lost. We must know that it's GOD'S POWER - not ours, so GOD gets all of the GLORY.

The Apostle Paul called himself the "Chief of Sinners". Paul hunted, persecuted, and killed Christians before his conversion. The best of those without CHRIST are no better than the WORST of those without CHRIST. GOD does have the power to change and use all of us, so this is another matter for thanks and praise to GOD.

Love In Christ,
Tom

ANOTHER AMEN GRAMMYLUV!

This reminds me of the "Starfish story"
The Starfish Story
adapted from The Star Thrower
by Loren Eiseley (1907 - 1977)

Once upon a time, there was a wise man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work.

One day, as he was walking along the shore, he looked down the beach and saw a human figure moving like a dancer. He smiled to himself at the thought of someone who would dance to the day, and so, he walked faster to catch up.

As he got closer, he noticed that the figure was that of a young man, and that what he was doing was not dancing at all. The young man was reaching down to the shore, picking up small objects, and throwing them into the ocean.

He came closer still and called out "Good morning! May I ask what it is that you are doing?"

The young man paused, looked up, and replied "Throwing starfish into the ocean."

"I must ask, then, why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?" asked the somewhat startled wise man.

To this, the young man replied, "The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don't throw them in, they'll die."

Upon hearing this, the wise man commented, "But, young man, do you not realize that there are miles and miles of beach and there are starfish all along every mile? You can't possibly make a difference!"

At this, the young man bent down, picked up yet another starfish, and threw it into the ocean. As it met the water, he said, "It made a difference for that one."

This story has appeared all over the web in various forms, usually with no credit given to Mr. Eiseley. Sometimes it is a little girl throwing the starfish into the ocean, sometimes a young man, once even an elderly Indian. In any form it is a beautiful story and one that makes you think.

Loren Eiseley was a anthropologist who wrote extensively. He was the 'wise man' in the story, and he was walking along a beach after a storm and encountered the fellow throwing the starfish back. I have not had a chance to read the original book yet myself but will post more background info here after I do.

The best dressed man in Israel wore fine colored linen with embroidered bells and pomegranates, a linen breastplate with gold and precious stones, and a gold-studded hat.  Who was he?

(Exodus, Judges, Ruth)

Maybe "Aaron?"

(Exo 28:34 KJV)  A golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the hem of the robe round about.

(Exo 28:35 KJV)  And it shall be upon Aaron to minister: and his sound shall be heard when he goeth in unto the holy place before the LORD, and when he cometh out, that he die not.

Today my friends, you get 3 for the price of 1 !  Grin  But I'm going to give you the books that the answer is in...

Who buried Stephen?  (Acts)

Who buried Abraham?  (Genesis)

Who buried Isaac?  (Genesis)

There is a prize with this one!  I'm going to warn you what it is though, because it may be the deciding factor of if you really want to try!
The prize is that you get to see a picture of me!  Sometimes I think it is fun to see what the person you talk to each week, looks like.  So if you're curious.....stay tuned!

I'll answer the first one then let others answer the next two

Godly men.
(Act 8:2 KJV)  And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.
