According to John, what teaching identifies an antichrist?

Every spirit that doesn't confess that Jesus came in the flesh.

1 John 4:3  And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Where does the Beast come from?

Hell?

Revelations 11:7  And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

Where does the Beast come from?

I sort of found this one a bit tough, I spent a few days reading using "Strong's Concordance" and came up with quite a number of locations as well as verses. I draw the same conclusion that the "Beast" is from "Hell", but I just did not know which verse to quote

Besides Rev 11:7 I came up with these as well, Rev 13:1; 13:11 and 17:8

Rev 13:1  And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea;
Rev 13:11 coming up out of the earth;
Rev 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit,

Good trivia quetion though as it surely does keep us in our bibles studing God's word.

Some good references and all hit the point. If you look back at the Greek word used in these references you will see the word abussos which actually means abyss. This is another word that was used to mean hell, the bottomless pit.

What book of the Bible describes Satan's appearance?

Revelations ?

(Rev 9:11 KJV)  And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
{Strongs} G623 --Apolluōn
ap-ol-loo'-ohn
Active participle of G622; a destroyer (that is, Satan): - Apollyon.

Interestingly, just as the previous post, here is the bottomless pit mentioned as well,
{Strongs} G12- abussos - ab'-us-sos From G1 (as a negative particle) and a variation of G1037; depthless, that is, (specifically), (infernal) “abyss”: - deep, (bottomless) pit

(Rev 13:4 KJV)  And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

Here I see the Beast mentioned again, so, is Satan being discribed as being like a "Dragon"?

and last I find:
(Rev 20:2 KJV)  And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

(Rev 20:3 KJV)  And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

Serpent = snake
{Strongs} G3789
ὄφις  ophis
Probably from G3700 (through the idea of sharpness of vision); a snake, figuratively (as a type of sly cunning) an artful malicious person, especially Satan: - serpent.

I think that with what I find here that Satan is the most evil being we could ever imagine and is beyond describing.
I thank "GOD" for His grace and His promise,That He will never leave nor forsake me; that I will never have to worry about seeing satan.

All the verses that you presented do in fact describe Satan's character but they do not describe his appearance. Anyone willing to try again?

What book of the Bible describes Satan's appearance?

Dave, great input!!!

Revelations 12 describes him as a red dragon-old serpent

Revelations 12:3  And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

I have another thought if this isn't the right one.

Dave, great input!!!

These are all great references and they do indeed describe satan in one manner or another. This is an especially difficult question. Most of these though are fitting his characteristics.

The Bible does not give us an exact physical description of his appearance. The most detailed scripture that mentions his physical appearance is when we are told that he can take on the appearance of most anything even an "angel of light".

2Co 11:14  And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
