If I understand this right, was it because Nabal rejected not only David's requests but worst of all God? God does hold us accountable for our actions  and What a terrible way to die.

Correct. Nabal refused to accept David as king, the anointed position given him of God. In so doing Nabal positioned himself as an enemy of David. His greatest sin though was in rejecting God wishing to continue in his sins. The sin that leads to eternal death even today.

I know this has nothing to do with todays trivia question, but I too do not understand where Precious2God came up feeling this way
If I am in any way, form or shape in having caused Precious2God, to feel this way. I surely did not nor wish to be a stumbling block to any Christian brother or sister, and if this is the case than please except my apology

I am sure that we all are confused by this and feel the same as you do in this matter. Precious2God has been a wonderful addition to the forum, especially so to this study. All that we can do is to offer our prayers in this situation and for Precious2God as she has removed her own account.

What prophetess, active during the reign of Josiah, consoled the king while chastising the people of Judah?

Huldah

(2Ki 22:14 KJV)  So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asahiah, went unto Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college;) and they communed with her.

Is this right?
Hilkiah was the priest who found the "book of the law" while the Temple was being repaired during king Josiah's reign, and Shaphan read it to King Josiah; but Josiah inquired of Haldah to interpret it?

Yes, that is right. We see this story also in 2Ch 34:14 where it is called "a book of the law of the LORD given by Moses" which is actually believed to be “in the handwriting of Moses”. This is also the story that is foretold by an un-named man of God in 1 Ki 13.

Which disciple was told by Jesus that Satan wanted to sift him "like wheat"?

If I played fair I would look up the verse, but the answer is my main man Peter!  I say "my main man" because Peter is my favorite disciple.

Hello everyone, such a blessing to have my computer back.  Praise the Lord. I think I may have this one...

Simon Peter

Luke 22:31  And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:

Who predicted that there would be "false christs, and false prophets" who would deceive people by performing miracles?

Thank you Tom.  Hope I get this one right too.  I am doing a study on Matthew.

Matthew

Matthew 24:24  For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

A strong reminder for me to stay in my Bible.

Amen, sister!

Yes that is correct and it is indeed a reminder that we need to study the word of God. We see many today that are doing such supposed miracles yet if we lisaten to what they are teaching and compare it to God's word we can see that they are false prophets for many of them are teaching another Jesus or another gospel. We must stay strong in God and His word in order to be able to discern the truth.
