Answer:  In their hearts

Jeremiah 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Alright, another one right.

Let's add to this one today.

Where else in the Bible do we see a similar statement?

That was well done. We also see in another place in the Bible where it speaks of something being written in the hearts. Actually there are several more places.

2Co 3:3  Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

Eze 36:25  Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
Eze 36:26  A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Eze 36:27  And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

What Old Testament word means anointed?

yes this sure does make one search the bile through  and through.

I believe you are thinking  the "Messiah"   the anointed one.  And I too can not come up with a verse to back it up.
This is "Strong's" concordance meaning
H4899
משׁיח
mâshîyach
maw-shee'-akh
From H4886; anointed; usually a consecrated person (as a king, priest, or saint); specifically the Messiah: - anointed, Messiah.

That was an exceptionally difficult one. You deserve extra points for that one.

Answer Melchisedec

Hebrews 7:1-3

1For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;

 2To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;

3Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.

I'm sorry I didn't mean to take over.  I can back off.  Please forgive me.  I love trivia but I should be considerate of others.  Please please forgive me.

Please do not back off, Precious2God. I am trying to place more questions per day so that everyone will be able to join in on this study and if anyone has any comments on the verses that are presented or any questions that they wish to give please do so.

Here are some passages from the New Testament, each of them a quotation from the Old Testament. Name both the Old Testament and New Testament book, chapter and verse, where the passages appears.

1. Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree

2. The man that doeth them shall live in them

3. Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband

Pastor Roger,
I'll try the 1st one and then let one of the others try the other 2.

Not that I am saying I have this one right either, and if I don't then I will say "Glory be to God", for even allowing me the chance to answer, and spending time studying and reading His precious written word, the Holy Bible.

with that all said, here goes:

This the new testament verse: Galatians 3:13

(Gal 3:13 KJV)  Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

and the old testament, I believe this needs two verses in order to answer it right and these being:
Deuteronomy: 21:22-23

(Deu 21:22 KJV)  And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree:

(Deu 21:23 KJV)  His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.

What a wonderful way to get us "Christians" to open and read the Bible

Thanks for posting these trivia questions, I too enjoy them. We need to open our Bibles every day and not only read but take in those precious words.

In Christian love.
