Hello All,
My computer at home is goofed up so the only access I have is at work which allows me very little time.  I'm wondering Pastor Roger, if you'd like, if you could take this thread over until March?  Otherwise we will just take a break until then.
I'm really sorry about this folks.  Embarrassed

I have ordered the book that Grammy is using for this but it isn't in yet so I will be winging it with some of my own questions in the meantime.

Most all of us have heard the story of Moses parting the Red Sea. Who else in scripture parted a river, what was the name of that river and what action did he take to do it?
1 Chronicles, 2 Kings, Genesis

Elijah- divided the Jordan River parting the water so dry land appeared.

2 Kings 2:8  And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.

Pastor Roger, thanks for continuing this thread until GrammyLuv returns. We miss you GrammyLuv.

God performed many more miracles through various chosen people. Moses and his people could not drink of certain waters that they encountered. Why could they not drink of it and what did Moses do so that they could drink the water?

Deuteronomy, Numbers, Exodus

Because it was bitter. Cried unto the Lord(Prayed) and was obedient regarding the tree.

Exodus 15:23-27  And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah. And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink? And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD showed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,  And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for am the LORD that healeth thee. And, they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters.
