1 Corinthians 5:

1 Corinthians 5:7  Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

Thank you to everyone for all of your encouragement.

He was blinded:

2 Kings 6:18  And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the LORD, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.

Something to note here is that blinded in this case does not mean that they are completely without sight. With the use of the Hebrew word sanverim, used only here and in Genesis 19:11, it is indicated that they were prevented from seeing what they were trying to see. In Genesis they were prevented from seeing the door so that they couldn't get in to Lot and his family. In 2 Kings 6:18 they were prevented from seeing their way to the city of Dotham and instead with Elisha's guidance ended up at Samaria.

Joash:

2 King 11:2 & 3 But Jehosheba, the daughter of king Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the king's sons which were slain; and they hid him, even him and his nurse, in the bedchamber from Athaliah, so that he was not slain. And he was with her hid in the house of the LORD six years. And Athaliah did reign over the land.

I worked on Christmas but it was really fun.  We actually had our family Christmas just yesterday with presents and breakfast at one of my daughter's homes.  And all of my grandkids were there together!

Wow!!! Sounds like you all had a great time with your family, especially getting to see all the grandkids.  I am looking forward to having some myself one day.  What a blessing!!!

Amaziah:

2 Kings 14:1-  In the second year of Joash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel reigned Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah.

2 Kings 14:5 & 6- And it came to pass, as soon as the kingdom was confirmed in his hand, that he slew his servants which had slain the king his father. But the children of the murderers he slew not: according unto that which is written in the book of the law of Moses, wherein the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
