Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Alright Eva, you came the closest.

Joh 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:14  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Gen 1:1  In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Gen 1:2  And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

If I may,I have one to ponder.

I know the word "RAPTURE" does not appear in God's written word, "the Holy Bible", but I do believe there is certain references to it.

There is two,
Genesis, Exodus,Hebrews and 2 Samuel, 2 Kings, 2 Chronicles

I am sorry, please excuse me for not at least giving some hint as to my little bit of  Bible triva
What I meant to say is: There is two: one that " walked with God", and the other "went up in a whirlwind into heaven"

Actually there are more than just two places in which it can be found. We find it referred to in Act 24, John 14, 1 Thess, 1 Cor 15, Rev 3, Mat 24, Isa 26, Isa 57, Philippians 3, Psalm 50, Psalm 144, Eze 33, Eze 37, Dan 12, and there are still many more.

The word rapture did not exist prior to around 1600. It comes from the Latin word Rapt approximately 1400. It means to carry away, carried off or be carried away. We see this in many places in the Bible that tells us that we will be carried away to Heaven, raised from the dead during the resurrection and taken to be with Jesus.

That is correct, thanks for the reminder on just the word Rapture, I realized after I posted it that I would get this answer, for yes there are many references to " Rapture"

What I meant is there were two individuals that gives us the hope that before theTribulation, we too may be called up to be with Christ.  and that was my question. Who are they?

Please forgive me If I have caused any transgression here in this posting that was started by "grammyluv"
I only wanted to participate in this "Bible Trivia"

All I was looking for was Enoch and Elijah
(Gen 5:24 KJV)  And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
and (Heb 11:5 KJV)  By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

(2Ki 2:11 KJV)  And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

No problem here, workinprogress. I for one am glad that you are participating. Not enough Christians get involved in Bible studies and it is important that we do study His word. I just didn't understand what it was that you were looking for but I do now. It is an excellent point that you have made.

grammyluv you have our next question?

No worries here.  When I came on yesterday morning to post, there was still an unanswered question so I let it ride.  Grin   Here is the question for today...

What prophet pictures women weeping for the god Tammuz?
(Revelation, Ezekiel, Daniel)

Hi David!  And aren't you johnny-on-the-spot this morning!

It's good to see that I'm not the only one up before the chickens this morning!

I suppose this means that I have time to post another one today!

Blessed in Christ,

This one involves two questions.  Remember your verses!  Grin

1)  How many times does Eve's name appear in Genesis?
  2)  How many times does Eve's name appear in the New Testament?

Two times in Genesis:

Genesis 3:20  And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

Genesis 4:1  And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bore Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.

Two times in the New Testament:

1Timothy 2:13  For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

2 Corinthians 11:3  But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

Love in Christ, Eva

Good job, Eva. That is the same that I came up with.

Here is a rather difficult one:

Where does the Bible tell us about earthquakes dividing the land?
(Genesis, Numbers, 1Chronicles )

You made me have to think on this one brother. Because earthquake isn't in Genesis, Numbers, 1Chronicles, in my Bible.

Genesis 1:6 And God said, Let there be a firmament [the expanse of the sky] in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters [below] from the waters [above].
