Has anyone here read The Beginning to the End?

From the Beginning of Genesis to Revelation that is ?
If you have?
Have you read it 5 times from the 1st word in the Bible to the Last one?
If so, have read it More than 5 times from the Beginning to the End?
If you don't mind will you tell me how many times you have read the word of God
FROM the 1st word to the Last word?
When I become "willing" to listening to Doctors(Preachers) or other people, I like to know that they have at least read the (EM)Manuel(The Word)
Once from the Beginning to the End....

I don't keep count of how many times, I've read the Bible cover to cover. I can say easily, it is over 30 times.

I have no idea how many times it has been. I started reading when I was about 3 or 4 years old and the Bible was my first reader. I have studied the Bible many times through.

Hi Everyone
I was hoping to see a little more particapation of the 3000+ members here before i made any reply?
However, I think this is about all of us that are going to reply to this?
Please don't think that i'm trying to change the Simplicity of being or becoming a christian by HOW many times one
has read his Bible...
The theif on the cross is the perfect Example of this,
He was saved without even picking up a Bible or have any works, EXCEPT his work of Faith on the cross, when he Believed that Jesus was the Son of God...
Phillip and the Eunech Is another Good Example of the Simplicity of finding Salvatiion....
The Eunech stumbling on the words of Isaiah, Not knowing if Isaiah spoke of himself or of another,
And Phillip being sent, went and explained to him that it was this Jesus that Isaiah spoke of and he showed him through the Scriptures All the things that pertained to our Lord,,, And remember the New Testament had'nt been written yet...
Now, Back to my posts question...
Thank You for replying to my post Brothers & Sister(s) only 1 so far...
As for Myself, I'm only going to tell you so you can know where i'm coming from too, and NOT to be
taken as Boasting, In this type of forum I have seen how easy this happens & I DARE not boast about anything...
I stopped counting @ 70, That was 15 yrs. ago and it's probably been 40 more times since then,
7 times in the last year...

Hello Brother Duane,
The Bible isn't a book that one can just read and say that they understand it. The Bible must be carefully studied, and there are whole books written about how to study the Bible. In fact, there are more books written about the Bible than any other Book ever written.
One could skim the surface of the entire Bible in several days, or one could diligently study a single chapter of Ephesians for a year or more. Most of our Bibles today have many helps built in on nearly every page. It is now easier than ever to properly study the Holy Bible. One does this by following the contrasts, comparisons, references, and even doing "word" studies on single words that make considerable differences in understanding. We also have topical indexes, concordances, dictionaries, commentaries, and ancient language helps to help us understand the Scriptures. However, nothing replaces the Bible itself as the ultimate source of TRUTH. It should also be known that nothing is as important as prayer before we begin a Bible Study. The HOLY SPIRIT can reveal many precious Truths that would never be revealed otherwise. For all of the above reasons and more, the Holy Bible is the most amazing Book ever written. GOD'S Help and Instructions to us are just as accurate today as they were thousands of years ago. The Holy Bible is timeless and will endure forever, so there's never been anything like it, and there never will be.
Regardless of how many study helps we have, it takes considerable time and effort to study the Holy Bible. I think there are more important questions than "How many times have you read the Bible?" We eat food for our physical bodies every day. Do we eat spiritual food for our Spirits every day? Which one is more important for us?
Love In Christ,
Tom
1 Corinthians 2:12-16 NASB
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ.
1 Timothy 4:4-6 NASB
For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude; for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer. In pointing out these things to the brethren, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, constantly nourished on the words of the faith and of the sound doctrine which you have been following.

Hello Brother Duane,
Why is it that you considered my post to be argument? What part of what you said was I trying to dispute? I thought this was a discussion about reading and studying the Holy Bible, and this is a common discussion on most Christian forums. Where's the argument, and what's the argument about? I'm not aware of any argument in this thread.
Love In Christ,
Tom

Dear Brother Tom,
YOUR Words:
"Regardless of how many study helps we have, it takes considerable time and effort to study the Holy Bible. I think there are
more important questions
than "
How many times have you read the Bible?"
We eat food for our physical bodies every day. Do we eat spiritual food for our Spirits every day? Which one is more important for us?"
It's Important to me to know How much someone knows about the word of God when MY SOULS at STAKE..
You know making sure i was'nt being led by the Blind, Which EVERY Person that is coming to God Should do, or you'll end up following some nut case!
YLBD
Maybe I used the wrong word "Argue"?
I Guess It's More like "Down playing" the
IMPORTENCE
of WHY "
I/ME
" wanted to know, HOW much the Doc.(Preachers) & Others KNOW, And 1 way to know that is to
ASK
How many times the whole Bible was studied, Not just this part or just that part...
WHEN I seek a Doc. I want someone who has read the WHOLE Manuel...
THIS is a VERY Importent question to me & maybe others, Helps you find out if you should even consider listening any longer to a person or not...

It appears that you have guessed a lot of things into my post that aren't there. I stated some basics about studying the Bible. I'm not aware of anyone in the thread interested in convincing someone to listen to them. The interest is listening to GOD and HIS WORD. Most of us use GOD'S WORD because it's very plain on the most important issues. Our words mean nothing unless they are measured as TRUTH by GOD'S WORD. The Bereans didn't believe the Apostle Paul until they searched the Scriptures for themselves, and that's what everyone should do. Take GOD'S WORD - not a man's word.
Love In Christ,
Tom
Acts 17:10-12 NASB
The brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so. Therefore many of them believed, along with a number of prominent Greek women and men.

Brother Tom
I'm not talking about any of YOUR post or your basic facts about Brother, BUT your reply to MY POST,
" I think their are more important Questions than how many times"
And as i've said the reason for MY POST, was to see mostly, HOW much the/you Moderators have studied the whole word of God before i put much stock(TIME) in what you might say...
Do's anyone else see what i'm saying Here, if so Please HELP me...
OF course their are More Important ?'s,
BUT for ME right NOW this one is important for ME to know about YOU or ANYONE else that tells me about God...
YLBD
P.S
Would you take to Heart, By just what a person say's, Espeically when it comes to your Soul?
Not to mention Were on PC's?
It sounds like your taking this personal Brother & you can't see what i'm saying & I'm Praying someone can see that i'm not talking about how many times a person has read it, right now!
BUT, the importence of me knowing how much knowledge & the studying you've/Moderators have done...
I would require it from any Preacher, So don't take this Personal, OK?

Littleboy, I think that you are taking what Brother Tom said as personal. His post was not necessarily about you but rather a comment made on the difference of reading and studying the Bible. It was a comment that I had considered making also. There are many people that I have known that have read the Bible through many times that simply do not know anything at all about what the Bible really says and I would think that it is a more important thing for someone to have the knowledge from God by study than to know how many times they have read the Bible all the way through.
We can know this by what they say and how that compares to what the Bible tells us not by any "credentials" that they may have.
Brother Tom's post was not about you but rather about the subject of the thread.

Hello Brother Duane,
I don't take this personal at all, but you might. I doubt that any of the moderators or anyone else on the forum will be bragging about what they know about the Bible. I know that I won't. I'll just say that there are quite a few here who accurately handle the WORD OF TRUTH. You can use GOD'S WORD to measure anything said here about the Bible. Someone could have 15 Degrees in Theology and it would mean nothing to me. I would still measure what they said with GOD'S WORD. If someone else wants to brag about what they know about the Bible, they are most welcome to.
Love In Christ,
Tom
