Hello Pastor Roger,

YES - Brother we missed you. I'm very happy that you had a good time, and I remember that time with my son about 8 years ago. I was and am very proud of him.

Special times like this are very important for families. It's a sad fact of life that many grown children move away from mom and dad to survive and provide for their own families. The times together are less frequent, but they are always precious. For the young ones here, LORD Willing - you will also have the joy of grandchildren one day. Brother Roger, could you tell that my mind was on grandkids just now? I got off the topic - WELCOME BACK and CONGRATULATIONS to your son.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Colossians 2:6-17 NASB
Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude. See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ. For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority; and in Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ; having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him. Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day -- things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.

It's good to know I was missed.  Wink

It was a beautiful trip and a most wonderful and precious time with the family. I just got home a little while ago so I won't be on for long tonight but I will be tomorrow and will try to tell more about the trip then  ...   maybe some a few pictures also.

That's some great news, sister. I know the new position means a lot to you.

Don't use too much polish on the head, brother but do make it shine. It makes for a good impression.  Wink Cheesy

Yes you were missed!  Glad you had a fun and safe trip.  Glad you're back!! Grin Grin Grin Grin

I sure know what you mean about grandkids being on your mind.  They are just the best.  I'm looking at my little granson sleeping right now.  I have him for the weekend.  Sometimes we don't like to wait for summer to go camping and I will blow up the mattress and we will camp out in the front room!
I was sleeping and then woke up and decided to see what going on here.  Glad I did so that I could see Pastor R was back safe and sound!

Hello Grammyluv,

Wink  I was going to ask you if your clocks were messed up and you thought it was daylight, but I'll be a good boy. Our kids and grandkids will come here for Thanksgiving, so we can't wait. We usually have a big family gathering on a farm West of us. I'll just say that it's a wonderful time in the LORD, and we have much to give thanks for. I'll give you a quick grin. My daughter was telling her oldest son something about safety recently. He said, "Don't worry Mom, I'm an older man now." He's 6 and I thought I was going to laugh till I passed out. The middle one is 4, and my little one is almost 5 months old now.

Sister, I'm glad that you don't have to worry about being rained on during your camp out. If you do - FIX that roof.   Wink

Love In Christ,
Tom

Romans 15:5-7 NASB
Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God.

Yeah, those kids say the funniest things.  I have older grandkids but this one that I spend the most time with is only 3 and is constantly cracking me up!  It's amazing how they think and percieve stuff!
I'm the closest to this little guy because I raised him for a year myself and I still have him 3 and sometimes 4 nights a week.  I also have 3 grandaughters; 15, 13 and 5!  The teenagers I see almost every weekend even if it's just in passing because my daughter and I live in the same apt. complex, just at opposite ends.  The 5 year old lives in Eastern Washington so I only see her once every couple months or so.
We will all be together for Thanksgiving too!

Yes my clock does seem to be off tonight but thats a lot better than being off my rocker!   Grin Grin

We posted at the same time, so I just now saw this. I have hair, but my hero is bottom right. I have some work I have to get done, so I'll holler at everyone tomorrow. Have a great early morning! Here's another one for Brother Jerry to choose from:

Yvette,

I don't have that book, but I remember the show. If it's anything like the show, it would be a riot. Yes - please share some. Many of the younger folks won't even know who we're talking about. I'll just say it was a completely clean and funny show for the whole family to watch.

First of all I want to share some very good news. This was the best news of the whole trip. We took my daughter and her daughter with us. We also took my sons twins and their mother went with us also even though her and my son had separated sometime ago. We all stayed in the same hotel room. A little bit crowded but it gave us ample time to talk before our son got time away from the base and in between the events on base. My son had rededicated his life to Jesus during his stay in boot camp. She did the same at the hotel the night before family day on base. Then after family day our son had an off base pass and was able to spend it with us. During that time he asked her to marry him. She accepted! They are planning a wedding in December during his Christmas break from AIT.

The trip was very tiring for me but I have been so ecstatic over all this news that I am still fired up. Brother Tom, chained down lightening doesn't come close to describing it.
