Amen, sister. I am definitely ready for our Lord to come.
I can actually see you standing in the middle of a bus preaching to others. Unfortunately I could also see you getting kicked off the bus, especially in the times that we live in. As it is said though, "as the Lord leads." There have been times that I have spoken out in such situations. Once I did so while checking out of the Wal Mart here. I think it was something very negative the cashier said about Jesus that set me off.
Well I did get to witness to a fella the other day on the bus that was said he was leaning toward Islam. He was trying to be quiet about it, but when I spoke I'm sure others, near at least, could hear. I hope I reached someone anyway.

Police charge student for faking anti-Muslim 'hate crime'
Authorities say white gunman, bathroom attack … never happened

Police in suburban Chicago have arrested a Muslim college student for allegedly faking a racist attack by a masked gunman, an attack police now say never happened.
Earlier this month, Safia Jilani, 19, was found by friends in the basement bathroom of the Schaible science building of Elmhurst College, claiming she was clubbed with a gun by a masked assailant. Anti-Muslim epithets were found scrawled on a nearby mirror, similar to a hate-filled graffiti that had been found on Jilani's locker only a week earlier.
The college locked down the campus after the alleged attack and, according to the Chicago Tribune, later released an advisory warning students of a 5-foot, 8-inch, white male attacker guilty of committing a "hate crime."
According to a joint statement just released from Elmhurst Police, the college and the state's attorney's office, however, there was no gunman, and the attack was staged.
"The totality of all the evidence, and interviews with staff and students at the college … concluded that this incident never happened," Elmhurst Police Chief Steven Neubauer told the Tribune, though he refused to elaborate.
Word of the attack spread when Jilani, one of approximately 25 Muslim students out of 3,300 enrolled at Elmhurst College, sent a text message to friend Carly Notorangelo on the evening of Oct. 9, begging for help.
According to the Elmhurst Press, the text read, "Emergency. Basement of Schaible. Bathroom."
Notorangelo told the Press she found Jilani unconscious on the floor of the bathroom with the words "Kill the Muslims" scrawled on a nearby mirror.
Jilani's friends later reported that she had suffered bruised ribs and a concussion, though Jilani refused emergency medical care immediately following the incident.
Notorangelo told Chicago's WBBM-TV, "I found my friend, my sister, one of the most courageous people I know, unconscious on the floor, because somebody hit her with a gun. Because they don't think it's okay for her to express her love for God by wearing a piece of cloth on her head."
The next day, hundreds of students at the campus held a sit-in to protest the alleged hate crime and show their support for Jilani.
News of Jilani's arrest and the staged attack has left students at the campus baffled.
"We had a rally," said Richie Palys, a freshman jazz studies major, to the Tribune. "People cried over what happened, and her best friends gave speeches for her. I don't even know what to believe anymore."
Jilani has since surrendered to the authorities and has been booked on filing a false police report, a felony punishable by one to three years in prison.
~~~~~~~~
Yup looks like Jilani, wanted to create civil unrest for the muslim population. That or he was trying to create himself as a victim of Christians.
Of course the gay agenda is satan's plan to silence God's word. The battle is spiritual. The lust of the flesh and the pride of life have been the satan's tools since the beginning of time.
If Obama get elected and the Demo-cats keep their majority in Congress, this can happen easy. They won't care that this would infringe on our free speech rights. How is speaking out against something a hate crime?? People in the main stream press say a lot worse about Republicans and Christians.
India Soldier Hacked To Death For Protecting Christians; New Violence In Orissa
20 October 2008
Security forces clashed with angry Hindus in the Indian state of Orissa Monday, October 20, just days after a paramilitary soldier protecting Christians was reportedly hacked to death by an angry Hindu mob.
Several people, mostly women, sustained injuries when tense police dispersed a Hindu crowd blocking a road in Orissa’s Kandhamal district, the epicenter of attacks against Christians and security personnel in which scores of people were killed, Indian media said.
Protesters said they blocked the road to demand the arrest of those involved in a recent attack on Hindu villager Manoj Pradhan, who was shot and injured near his home at Laburigaon village late Saturday, October 15. Attackers fired five rounds, but only one bullet hit him, and Pradhan was undergoing treatment in a government hospital, media reports said.
The incident sparked fears of new attacks against Christians and security personel in Orissa. where bishops said at least 60 Christians were killed over the past two months, in retaliation for the murder of a revered Hindu leader and four of his followers. Authorities claim 36 people died so far.
HACKED TO DEATH
In one of the latest incidents, a paramilitary soldier assigned to protect Christians from Hindu violence, was hacked to to death and his body mutilated by a mob in Sisapanga village in Kandhamal district, last week, Monday, October 13, the Times of India (TOI) newspaper reported.
The murdered man was identified as 45-year-old Bakshis Singh of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). His death marked the first known time a member of security personnel was killed in Orissa in riots that have been raging for one-and-a-half months.
"Singh had been to Sisapanga village, accompanied by a driver, to buy provisions. A group of six-seven men attacked him from behind, dragged him into the jungle and hacked him to death," TOI quoted District Superintendent of Police S. Praveen as saying. "The driver fortunately managed to escape."
Police suggested the murder was a message from mobs to security forces not to protect Christians. Several arrests have been made in recent days, but it was not clear Monday, October 20, whether those responsible for the murder of the paramilitary soldier were among those detained.
GROWING PRESSURE
There is growing pressure on Orissa's government to further improve security in the state and to compensate churches at a time when tens of thousands of Christians have been displaced by the deadly violence, and new reports of attacks against churches.
However on Monday, October 20, the Orissa government rejected in the Supreme Court a plea seeking over $600,000 in compensation for demolition of churches in anti-Christian riots saying "it is against the secular policy of the State to pay any compensation to religious institutions".
Responding to the plea filed by the Archbishop of Cuttack, the state government said that "compensation towards religious institutions is not [part] of the secular policy of the Orissa government."
NUN RAPED
Earlier the Orissa government on Friday, October 17, told the Supreme Court that the Archbishop of Cuttack must substantiate allegations that activists of the Hindu group Bajrang Dal were behind the recent rape of a nun, an incident that came to symbolize some of the atrocities during the anti-Christian violence in Orissa's troubled Kandhamal district.
Some eight people were reportedly detained following the August 25 incident at a Non-Governmental Organization in Kanjamendi village, but investigations still continue. The nun has so far refused to come forward to identify any of the suspects, apparently for fear of retribution, but prosecutors told media they were hopeful of making their case.
In a related development, a judge probing the August 23 killing of Hindu leader Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati and four of his aides that speked the attacks on Christians, said Monday, October 20, his investigation could take one and a half years to complete.
SC Mohapatra, a retired judge of the Orissa High Court, is on a four day tour, visiting inmates and several villages where churches and houses were burnt. He also held discussions with district and administration officials, Indian media reported.
I keep waking up during the night and praying for these Christians.
What sadness that an Indian soldier was killed as he protected these Christians. May the Lord give strength to those who are protecting His people.
I am shocked at the level of violence being used against these poor villagers, who are not doing any harm to anyone. I can't begin to comprehend how those watching these attackers in India are not sickened, outraged at the killing of innocent people. If it was happening to muslims, I bet it there would be much more pressure being applied to the Indian government right now.
San Francisco weighs decriminalizing prostitution
Oct 21 05:48 PM US/Eastern
By EVELYN NIEVES
Associated Press Writer
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - In this live-and-let-live town, where medical marijuana clubs do business next to grocery stores and an annual fair celebrates sadomasochism, prostitutes could soon walk the streets without fear of arrest.
San Francisco would become the first major U.S. city to decriminalize prostitution if voters next month approve Proposition K—a measure that forbids local authorities from investigating, arresting or prosecuting anyone for selling sex.
The ballot question technically would not legalize prostitution since state law still prohibits it, but the measure would eliminate the power of local law enforcement officials to go after prostitutes.
Proponents say the measure will free up $11 million the police spend each year arresting prostitutes and allow them to form collectives.
"It will allow workers to organize for our rights and for our safety," said Patricia West, 22, who said she has been selling sex for about a year by placing ads on the Internet. She moved to San Francisco in May from Texas to work on Proposition K.
Even in tolerant San Francisco—where the sadomasochism fair draws thousands of tourists and a pornographic video company is housed in a former armory—the measure faces an uphill battle, with much of the political establishment opposing it.
Some form of prostitution is already legal in two states. Brothels are allowed in rural counties in Nevada. And Rhode Island permits the sale of sex behind closed doors between consulting adults, but it prohibits street prostitution and brothels.
In 2004, almost two-thirds of voters in nearby Berkeley rejected decriminalization. But proponents of Proposition K say their proposal has a better shot in San Francisco, which they believe is more sexually liberal than the city across the bay.
After all, the world's oldest profession has long been established here. During the Gold Rush, the neighborhood closest to the piers was a seedy pleasure center of sex, gambling and drinking known as the Barbary Coast.
These days, on certain corners, prostitutes sell their bodies day and night, ducking into doorways and alleys when police pass by. One recent afternoon in the Mission District, six prostitutes were plying their trade on a single block.
Police made 1,583 prostitution arrests in 2007 and expect to make a similar number this year. But the district attorney's office says most defendants are fined, placed in diversion programs or both. Fewer than 5 percent get prosecuted for solicitation, which is a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail.
Proposition K has been endorsed by the local Democratic Party. But the mayor, district attorney, police department and much of the business community oppose the idea, contending it would increase street prostitution, allow pimps the run of neighborhoods and hamper the fight against sex trafficking, which would remain illegal because it involves forcing people into the sex trade.
The San Francisco Chronicle editorialized against the measure, saying it could make the city a magnet for prostitution.
If the proposal passes, "we wouldn't be able to investigate prostitution, and it's going to be pretty difficult for us to locate these folks who are victims of trafficking otherwise," said Capt. Al Pardini, head of the police department's vice unit. "It's pretty rare that we get a call that says: 'I'm a victim of human trafficking' or 'I suspect human trafficking in my neighborhood.'"
The proposition would also prohibit police from accepting federal or state funds for sex trafficking investigations that involve racial profiling. Such investigations often arise from raids on brothels that advertise as Asian massage parlors.
"We feel that repressive policies don't help trafficking victims, and that human rights-based approaches, including decriminalization, are actually more effective," said Carol Leigh, co-founder of the Bay Area Sex Workers Advocacy Network and a longtime advocate for prostitutes' rights.
But San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris said the ballot question mistakenly assumes prostitution is a victimless crime.
"The crime of prostitution does not exist by itself," Harris said. "Along with it come pimps, johns and other crimes that really impact the safety of neighborhoods."
If the measure passes, supporters say, prostitutes would not feel the need for pimps as protection. But opponents insist it would embolden pimps who trap drug addicts into prostitution by plying them with drugs.
"The proponents usually paint a fairly rosy picture of two consenting adults and a monetary exchange at the end," Pardini said. "They don't factor in the people that are being exploited and people that are being controlled, the ones manipulated both physically and chemically."
Somehow, I continue to be shocked at the things that are happening in our country today. There is still a part of me that wants to believe our nation will turn back to God. However, I am coming to realize that many people have hardened their hearts and there will not be a turning back of our nation. We used to fight hard for freedoms to be and do what we wanted. Now those freedoms are abused and creating danger for everyone..
Only God has the power to change things. I just feel so sad for him. To have him looking down and seeing what people have done with their choices.
Dawkins Supports 'No God' Ads
Professor Richard Dawkins has once again shown that atheists (or “secular humanists,” as some have dubbed themselves) live in a kind of bubble—one in which history can be skewed, and only their own definitions matter.
The prominent atheist boasted to the BBC about a new advertising campaign that will feature London bendy-bus banners proclaiming, “There’s probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life.” The British Humanist Association (BHA) came up with the “no God” slogan to counteract ads encouraging salvation through Jesus Christ. The weaker word choice that God “probably” doesn’t exist, rather than the bolder claim “There is no God,” makes Dawkins’ support of the ads something of a curiosity. Nonetheless, the BHA hopes to have 60 buses carry the signs for four weeks.
Dawkins told the BBC, “Religion is accustomed to getting a free ride—automatic tax breaks, unearned respect and the right not to be offended, the right to brainwash children.”1
“Unearned respect”? Just how impervious is Dawkins to the words and history of his own people?
Dawkins lectures at the same university as a past and prominent Oxford faculty member: C. S. Lewis. The former atheist and author of numerous works—including The Screwtape Letters, Mere Christianity, and the enduringly popular The Chronicles of Narnia series—has impacted countless individuals with his literary expositions that demonstrate a serious dedication to the Bible and its Author. Lewis’ death was overshadowed by the assassination of John F. Kennedy that November day in 1963, yet his life’s work continues to inspire generations to read and intellectually investigate the Word of God.
Another famous and highly-respected Brit was William Wilberforce who, along with many other evangelical Christians, devoted his wealth, reputation, and even health to champion the abolition of the slave trade, which led to the eventual end of slavery in Britain. His motivation for making so grand a mark on world history is clear: “God Almighty has set before me two great objects, the suppression of the slave trade and the reformation of manners [moral values].”2
And reaching a tad farther back in history, Isaac Newton—the past president of the prestigious Royal Society, discoverer of calculus, and inventor of the Newtonian telescope—was as much a student of the Bible as he was of science. His convictions, like Wilberforce’s, are also unambiguous: “God is the same God, always and everywhere.”3
Dawkins, the BHA, and other atheists might say the convictions of Lewis, Wilberforce, Newton, and the countless others who have made real and lasting contributions to the betterment of humanity are “anathema” to rational thought. But such claims would hold about as much water as the tip of a tack, for it was those very convictions that spurred these gentlemen’s great accomplishments.
Luke, a skilled physician and writer in Jesus’ day, chronicled Christ’s teaching that men and women are known by their deeds in the same way that a tree is known by its fruit.4 The “no God” ads will disappear after a few weeks. But the Word of God will remain forever,5 and the faithful works that it has inspired great men and women to achieve are incontestably deserving of the highest respect.
You don't have to believe in gravity either, but you are still going to fall if you jump off a cliff.
God fearing people are responsible for keeping civilization civil. I think, this campaign simply will not have the results they were imagining.
I'm praying instead that it will have the opposite effect, that the slogans will make people yearn to know the truth, and that they would be open to the gospel. I love how the say "probably" instead of "definitely".
Shows me that they themselves aren't too sure.
Me personally, I think during these difficult times, signs like these could have the opposite effect. I would rather die believing in God and find out there isn't one, than to die not believing in God and finding out there is one.
Questions Atheists Can’t Answer.................
1. What was in the beginning?
2. How will life on earth end?
3. What happens after death?
4. What is the purpose of existence?
5. Why there is order in all of creation?
6. Why there is morality in every civilization?
7. Why does every civilization believe in a Creator?
8. Why does every sane person have a conscience, even when it is not dictated by society?
9. How did nothing create everything?
10. Which came first--the chicken or the egg?
Thanks to Ray Comfort for these questions.
Study finds way to erase memories
Genetic manipulation of brain overproduces key enzyme that wipes slate clean
Scientists have succeeded in permanently erasing frightening memories in mice, an early step toward the development of treatments for people haunted by traumas.
According to a study in the journal Neuron this week, researchers genetically manipulated the brains of mice to overproduce a key enzyme that appeared selectively to wipe memories from the animals' brains.
The enzyme, calcium/calmodulin protein kinase II (CaMKII), also is present in humans, making it a possible target for a drug to treat post-traumatic-stress syndrome and other psychological disorders, scientists said.
According to the report, researchers from the Medical College of Georgia and East China Normal University in Shanghai trained the mice to associate environmental cues — a specific tone and cage — with an electric shock, and then looked to see what the animals could remember.
Ordinary mice will learn to freeze in fear when confronted with those cues. The engineered animals, however, did not show fear when they were placed in the cage or heard the tone, a sign they did not remember those things meant a shock was coming.
To find out if the memory loss was permanent, researchers gave the mice a drug that, in effect, reduced the amount of the enzyme to normal levels. The animals still failed to freeze when they heard the tone or saw the cage.
In a series of subsequent experiments, researchers discovered that they could erase fearful memories related to the shocks while leaving other recollections intact.
Study author Joe Tsien, of Medical College of Georgia, cautioned that formidable obstacles stood in the way of translating the research into a human drug.
That was my very first thought too PR. I can't imagine and don't want to, how angry God gets with all this manipulation that scientists do with HIS creations. Test tube babies, gender changes, etc. I can't imagine that HE's too thrilled with moon landing and space walks either. Remember the Tower of Babel?
And of course there is
everything else
.
I will always remain grateful that God has chosen me as one of His own and in fact persued me like He did until I couldn't help but love Him back! Praise God!
Muslim Cleric Faces Possible Criminal Charges for Marrying 12-Year-Old Contest Winner
Monday , October 27, 2008
A wealthy Indonesian Muslim cleric faces accusations of having illegal sex with a minor after marrying a 12-year-old girl selected for him through a contest.
Pujiono Cahyo Widianto, a 43-year-old owner of an Islamic boarding school, wed and likely slept with Lutfiana Ulfa in August after she won a contest to become Pujiono’s second wife judged by his first wife, 26, and followers, the Jakarta Post reported.
The girl’s parents admitted that financial difficulties led them to marry their daughter to Pujiono and said the marriage is valid in the eyes of their religion (kawin siri), though not registered with the state, Indonesian Child Protection Commission secretary Hadi Supeno told the Post.
The commission planned to immediately report Pujiono, his first wife and Lutfiana's parents to the police for a criminal investigation, Hadi told the Post. All could face a maximum of 15 years in jail and a $30,000 fine, for forcing, swindling and/or trading a minor into sex.
Additionally, the commission intends to request an edict forbidding marriages to minors as Pujiono has declared plans to also marry a 7-year-old girl and 9-year-old girl, the Post reported.
"Puji is a community leader who has many followers. If he is allowed to continue doing this, we're afraid that many other people will follow suit. This will victimize children," Hadi told the Post.
