Hello GrammyLuv,
Sister, you're completely correct. Portions of many churches are sliding down into the sewers, and a denomination name means almost nothing these days. In fact, the tags and labels of man mean less by the day now.
The devil is quite capable of attacking and devouring portions of ANY CHURCH EXCEPT ONE: THE ETERNAL CHURCH NOT MADE WITH HUMAN HANDS - THE CHURCH WHICH IS THE BODY OF CHRIST!

The moment we took our first breath, we were born into this world..into the very core of what this world offers..sin is not new as there is nothing new under the sun..but the moment a life accepts the Lord Jesus..the moment life was given breath of the Holy Spirit..Christ living in us..the hope of Glory..A christian is not taken out of the world..but through th power of the Holy Spirit the strenth to stand in the midst of evil..Days will get worse and worse in this world..but we will stand even unto death..for to live is Christ to die is gain..Can you imagine how many become christians and do not grasp the meaning of being a christian but have made churches like that of social clubs accepting the evil and justifying it. Then when the consequences of their actions comes..they blame God..I often think of how narrow the gate is and the few that find it..If there is anyting I stess more and more is to study God's word..live it and share it..to have a foundation that cannot be shaken even when our eyes see and ears hear and when evil is thrown at us..we can stand victorious..to never forsake th fellowship that one another is encouraged..We are no better than our Master and He witnessed what we witness today..yet..He said..The poor have the gospel..the lame are healed..and showed us how o ask the Father that whatever we do brings glory to God..to feed the sheep..If there is anyting thing that we have been told to do is to preach the gospel..to preach the gospel is to preach repentance and the day is coming when to preach the gospel there will be persecution and if we think what is happening today is bad..well..it is not near as bad as it can get..but thanks be to God for His mercy on us and for the gift of His Son that gives us the power to stand in the days to come..to focus on the Lord insead of the world..that is how we will stand in the days to come..IWe do not need to fear what God has given us the victory over..

AMEN MARYJANE!
Sister, strength in CHRIST is going to be the key ingredient. It makes me sad to consider the over-abundance of baby Christians these days and many considering a decision for CHRIST. I'm not hinting that things are going to be easy for Strong Christians. In fact, I think that things are going to get increasingly harder. I'm just commenting that things are going to be exceptionally hard for those who are NOT strong in CHRIST. As we speak, this world is like a runaway train picking up speed going downhill into the sewers. In fact, it appears that the sewers are opening up around the world and starting to overflow. The stench is getting worse by the day.
May GOD help us all.
Love in Christ,
Tom
Christian Quotes 1 - "No where in the scripture has God ever assured
anyone, baptized or not, of a carefree, no conflict existence... When
(not if) the trials come, we can be certain that they will reveal our
courage, call, commitment and convictions... Regardless of how
disheartening the difficulties can be, they should not send us into a
tailspin. Rather, they should bring out the best in the believer. They
can, if played correctly, bring us back to the biblical basics of
faith, hope and love." -- Doug Giles

'Gay' McDonald's prompts boycott
AFA urges millions to shun fast-food giant over its promotion of same-sex marriage
The American Family Association, whose earlier boycott of Ford Motor Co. over its promotion of homosexuality was dropped after company sales fell 8 percent per month for two years, now is asking consumers to stop buying Big Macs and Happy Meals at McDonald's.
In a brief announcement today, AFA, whose constituents number in the millions, said it is "asking its supporters to boycott the restaurant chain."
"This boycott is not about hiring homosexuals, or homosexuals eating at McDonald's or how homosexual employees are treated. It is about McDonald's, as a corporation, choosing to put the full weight of their organization behind promoting the homosexual agenda, including homosexual marriage," said AFA chairman Donald E. Wildmon.
AFA pointed out McDonald's donated $20,000 to the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce in exchange for membership in the NGLCC and a seat on the group's board of directors. The NGLCC lobbies Congress on a wide range of issues, including the promotion of same-sex marriage.
AFA had asked the corporation to remove its name and logo from the NGLCC website, where it is listed as a "corporate partner and organization ally." AFA also requested that McDonald's remove the endorsement of NGLCC by Richard Ellis, vice president of communications for McDonald's USA, from the website.
"McDonald's refused both requests," the AFA announcement said. In fact, Pat Harris, global chief diversity officer and vice president of "inclusions & diversity," told AFA the burger-and-fries conglomerate would "reaffirm our position on diversity."
"Ellis, who is openly homosexual, was given a seat on the NGLCC board of directors. … He was quoted as saying, 'I'm thrilled to join the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce and ready to go to work. I share the NGLCC's passion for business growth and development within the LGBT community, and I look forward to playing a role I moving these important initiatives forward,'" AFA said.
The AFA initiative followed an exchange of words between the pro-family organization and the corporation. WND reported then that McDonald's was running an e-mail campaign responding to concerns expressed by AFA to constituents.
The restaurant corporation had told consumers expressing opposition to its pro-homosexual stance that the company treats "all our employees and customers with dignity and respect regardless of their ethnicity, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or any other differentiating factor."
"We are not telling McDonald’s who they can hire to work for the company, nor are we demanding that they stop serving Big Macs to homosexual customers," AFA said then. "This issue is about the world’s largest fast food chain allying itself and partnering with an organization that lobbies Congress to enact laws that we feel can be used to repress religious freedom or undermine the sanctity of marriage."
McDonald's noted, "While one McDonald's employee is affiliated with the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), McDonald's is in no way 'aggressively promoting the homosexual agenda' as suggested in the newsletter."
But AFA said, "To refer to Richard Ellis, who is the vice president of communications for McDonald's, as 'one McDonald’s employee,' as if he is a teenager flipping hamburgers, is disingenuous at best. While 'aggressively' is admittedly a subjective term, AFA believes that giving money to and partnering with a homosexual lobby organization is certainly an enthusiastic promotion of the homosexual agenda."
AFA asked the corporation for honesty in its communications and called its verbal maneuvers "disingenuous."
"As a Christian organization, the American Family Association always seeks to be honest, accurate and completely forthright in the information we pass along to our supporters," AFA said. "We expect corporations in this country, especially those that position themselves as 'family friendly' businesses, to do the same."
McDonald's officials declined to return a WND call seeking comment on the placement of its executive on the "gay" advocacy organization. But the corporation sent a subsequent e-mail confirming its support for the agenda of the homosexual business lobby.
"McDonald's is indeed a Corporate Partner and Organizational Ally of NGLCC. Our vice president of U.S. communications, Richard Ellis, was recently elected to its board of directors," said the brief statement to WND from Heidi M. Barker, senior director of media relations.
A spokeswoman for NGLCC refused to speak with WND except on "background" when asked about McDonald's financial contribution to the group. But she did confirm the organization would not release information on its sponsors.
As WND reported, after joining the NGLCC, Wal-Mart's income later started declining as Christian organizations reacted to the news.
CNN reported Wal-Mart officials later decided to pursue a lower level of homosexual promotions.
"We are not currently planning corporate-level contributions to LGBT groups," Mona Williams, the company's senior vice president of corporate communications, told CNN only months after the issue arose.
WND also reported AFA's suspension of its two-year boycott of Ford after the auto giant met the conditions of an original agreement with the pro-family group.
Wildmon said the original agreement between AFA and Ford contained four items:
* Ford would not renew current promotions or create future incentives that give cash donations to homosexual organizations based on the purchase of a vehicle.
* Ford would not make corporate donations to homosexual organizations that, as part of their activities, engage in political or social campaigns to promote civil unions or same-sex marriage.
* Ford would stop giving cash and vehicle donations or endorsements to homosexual social activities such as 'gay'-pride parades.
* Ford would cease all advertising on homosexual websites and through homosexual media outlets (magazines, television, radio) in the U.S. with the exception of $100,000 to be used by Volvo. The Volvo ads would be the same ads used in the general media and not aimed at the homosexual community specifically.
According to AFA, during the 24 months the boycott was in effect, Ford sales dropped an average of 8 percent per month. The organization said its boycott was not entirely responsible for the drop in sales but played a very significant role. A total of 780,365 individuals had signed AFA's Boycott Ford petition.

This is definitely immoral to begin with but it is exceptionally bad considering this is a corporation that bases the majority of it's advertising aimed at children and is the area in which it makes most of it's profits.

Brother, thanks for sharing this information. I must comment that the American Family Association is a well-respected Christian organization that's been around for a long time. They have a lengthy track record of being completely honest and correct. As far as I'm concerned, McDonald's is boycotted. I will not call McDonald's good by spending a single penny there, and I will try to make sure that my friends and family get this information. When we spend money at businesses supporting and promoting evil, we are calling evil good and adding our own support. We don't have to do that, and I won't do that.

Favorite Bible Quotes 164 - Hebrews 10:1-10 For the law having a
shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things,
can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year
continually make the comers thereunto perfect. 2 For then would they
not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once
purged should have had no more conscience of sins. 3 But in those
sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. 4 For
it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take
away sins. 5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith,
Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou
prepared me: 6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had
no pleasure. 7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it
is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. 8 Above when he said,
Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou
wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the
law; 9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away
the first, that he may establish the second. 10 By the which will we
are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once
for all.

Teacher suspended for 'punishing children who did not pray to Allah'
By Daily Telegraph reporter
Last updated: 9:12 AM BST 08/07/2008
A teacher has been suspended amid claims she punished two children who refused to worship Allah during a Religious Education lesson.
Alison Phillips, head of RE at Cheshire's respected Alsager High School, allegedly disciplined the Year 7 duo claiming they were disrespectful for refusing to kneel down and pray.
After giving the two boys detention the school was believed to have received several complaints from parents about the long-standing teacher.
Today, a school spokesman said she was suspended over the allegations - but also for "ongoing inquiries centred around other practical issues".
Joan Feenan, director of Cheshire County Council's children's services, said: "This authority is naturally concerned about complaints we have received from parents.
"Together with the school, we will be thoroughly investigating those complaints, in a careful and considered manner, and informing parents of the conclusions reached.
"Educating children in Christian and other religious beliefs is part of the national curriculum in secular schools and I'm sure that the great majority of our parents welcome any efforts to further mutual understanding.
"Having said that, this authority also accepts without question that such teaching should be carried out with awareness, sensitivity and sound common sense.
"Alsager is a high performing school with very supportive parents.
"I am confident that this matter will be resolved equitably."
She also added that suspension was not a disciplinary measure.
One parent, Karen Williams, said after hearing the claims: "I am absolutely furious my daughter was made to take part in it and I don't find it acceptable.
"I haven't got a problem with them teaching my child other religions and a small amount of information doesn't do any harm.
"But not only did they have to pray, the teacher had gone into the class and made them watch a short film and then said 'We are now going out to pray to Allah'.
"And then two boys got detention and all the other children missed their refreshments break because of the teacher."
The incident was believed to have taken place during a practical demonstration of how the prophet is worshipped.
The teacher is liaising with NASUWT, her union, whose spokesman declined to comment.

Again we can see the bully tactics of those that are islamic.
Parents must be informed about what our schools plan to teach our children and how. The parents can then either opt out of intolerable sessions or move their children to a more acceptable school. In my case, I would not tolerate something like this, and I wouldn't give the school a second chance.
HOMESCHOOLING IS SOUNDING BETTER AND MORE REASONABLE BY THE MINUTE!
There are also many organizations gearing up to cooperate and assist those parents who are determined their children WILL receive a Christian education. As far as I'm concerned the devil can rule and reign over empty classrooms.

McDonald's: Christian boycotters 'hate' homosexuals
CEO says company has obligation to 'make a difference … and we do'
Those who oppose homosexuality for religious reasons are participating in "hate," according to an official for McDonald's, the worldwide purveyor of Big Macs and Happy Meals.
"Hatred has no place in our culture," corporate spokesman Bill Whitman told the Washington Post in response to a campaign by the American Family Association for a boycott of the burger-and-fries outlets because of the corporation's advocacy for the homosexual lifestyle.
"That includes McDonald's, and we stand by and support our people to live and work in a society free of discrimination and harassment," Whitman said.
"Throwing out any pretense of being neutral in the culture war, McDonald's has taken up the rhetoric of gay activists, suggesting those who oppose same-sex marriage (SSM) are motivated by hate," the AFA said in a new alert about its campaign today.
"AFA has asked for a boycott of McDonald's restaurants because of the company's promotion of the gay agenda. AFA asked McDonald's to remain neutral in the culture war. McDonald's refused," the group said.
"McDonald's has decided to adopt the 'hate' theme used by gay activist groups for years," said the AFA alert.
"Mr. Whitman has intentionally avoided addressing the reason for the boycott. This boycott is not about hiring gays or how gay employees are treated. It is about McDonald's choosing to put the full weight of their corporation behind promoting their agenda," the AFA alert said.
McDonald's CEO Jim Skinner said the company will promote issues they approve, the AFA said.
"Being a socially responsible organization is a fundamental part of who we are. We have an obligation to use our size and resources to make a difference in the world ... and we do," Skinner was quoted as saying.
The American Family Association's earlier boycott of Ford Motor Co. over its promotion of homosexuality was dropped after company sales fell 8 percent per month for two years.
AFA said McDonald's donated $20,000 to the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce in exchange for membership in the NGLCC and a seat on the group's board of directors. The NGLCC lobbies Congress on a wide range of issues, including the promotion of same-sex marriage.

Sex acts on Provincetown beaches prompt outrage
By Katy Jordan
Monday, July 7, 2008 - Updated 3d 8h ago
Frisky sun worshipers are flocking to have sex on the beach in Provincetown - but are sending horrified family vacationers packing, officals said.
Angry Cape Cod National Seashore officials said they are cracking down on public sex acts along the picturesque shoreline after the number of citations for public sex acts more than tripled, from an average of 40 to 132 last year.
“This is not what we’re interested in seeing,” said George Price, Superintendent of the National Seashore. “Over the last couple of years, public (sex) acts like this have been viewed by visitors.”
Price said officials are baffled as to why the vacation mecca has suddenly become a hotbed of public sex for randy exhibitionists.
“Laws and enforcement have not changed - it just seems to be something that some people decided we want to see,” Price said.
Complaints have included whale-watchers sailing past large groups of nude men, and families stumbling upon people engaged in sex acts on the pristine national shore that attracts tens of thousands of vacationers from throughout the world each year.
One complaint, issued in 2007, was from a New Jersey family walking in the dunes who encountered couples and a large group of men having “sex in the nude, including oral and anal sex right out in the open,” the Cape Cod Times reported last week.
“The majority is gay, but we’ve had issues with hetero sex as well. Families are upset and outraged,” Price said.
He added that many gay community members are also appalled about the recent surge in public sex, which is illegal under federal and state laws and can incur heavy fines.
“It’s really two issues, one is the nude sunbathing, which has been around since the ’70s and ’80s, and that issue is being addressed.
“But the issue that we’re talking about today is public sex: It’s a seashore problem and it’s a town problem,” he said.

Those exhibitionists should be arrested and jailed. Maybe increasing law enforcement on those beaches would be a good idea. This just goes to the heart of the gay issue, it is NOT about love, as they want us to believe, but about a perverted sex-drive in high gear!
Hmmmmmmmm, I think they should unload a truck full of snapping turtles on the beach. That ought to get those pervverts to put their pants back on.

Man Sues Church for $2.5M After Being 'Felled by Holy Spirit'
Thursday , July 10, 2008
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. —
A man says he was so consumed by the spirit of God that he fell and hit his head while worshipping.
Now he wants Lakewind Church to pay $2.5 million for medical bills, lost income, and pain and suffering.
Matt Lincoln is suing after the church's insurance company denied his claim for medical bills, he said.
The 57-year-old has had two surgeries since the June 2007 injury but still feels pain in his back and legs.
He said he was asking God to have "a real experience" while praying.
Lincoln said he has fallen from the force of the spirit before but has always been caught by someone.
Lawyers for the church said other congregants saw him on the floor laughing after his fall. They said he failed to look out for his own safety.
Man Sues Church for $2.5M After Being 'Felled by Holy Spirit'
~~~~~~~~
If it had been due to one of the preachers who shove people over, I could see where he might have a grievance. But since he was praying on his own, and supposedly God answered his prayer and he fell over on his own, then he can't really claim it was the church's fault.
