Teens Terrorize Gas Station
Dec 24, 2007
Jay Olstad
MILWAUKEE - A handful of teenage boys have terrorized the workers at the Clark gas station on 60th and West Fond du Lac for the past two weeks.
"We've went through hell. It's just ridiculous," said owner Mandi Brar.
She says since December 11th, seven or eight teens have come in almost every day. With guns drawn, they demand food, gas, drinks, whatever they can get their hands on.
"December 11th, 12th, 14th, and 15th they came four times in a day," said Brar.
One worker had enough last week. He was going to use a stick to scare them off. But instead, the suspects grabbed that stick and beat him with it.
The gas station believes the teens have stolen at least $3,000 in merchandise and caused thousands more in damage.
The boys even shot at one employee in the parking lot.
"If you don't give it to them they trash the place and they take whatever they want and leave," she said.
That's not all. Police say one of the teens stole a black Mercedes. The driver left his keys in his car and went into pay for gas.
And during this holiday season all Brar is asking for is some peace and quiet.
"It's very hard, very hard. I never used to be scared, but now I'm scared in the morning."

These punks didn't have the brains to use ski masks, they hit the same area several times in a day. How tough would it have been to have an unmarked car and catch them in the act??
Our tax dollars pay the Police to protect society from punks like this, business owners should'nt have to arm themselves and potentially kill someone, because the Police are unwilling to do their job!! Two weeks of this is more than any citizen should have to endure!!
Praise God, the cops in my area would have caught these punks after the second time. Course in Arizona, the cops are of a different breed.

Priests brawl in Bethlehem with fists, brooms, iron rods/7 injured
26 Dec 07
Seven people were injured on Thursday when Greek Orthodox and Armenian priests came to blows in a dispute over how to clean the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem.
Following the Christmas celebrations, Greek Orthodox priests set up ladders to clean the walls and ceilings of their part of the church, which is built over the site where Jesus Christ is believed to have been born.
But the ladders encroached on space controlled by Armenian priests, according to photographers who said angry words ensued and blows quickly followed.
For a quarter of an hour bearded and robed priests laid into each other with fists, brooms and iron rods while the photographers who had come to take pictures of the annual cleaning ceremony recorded the whole event.
A dozen unarmed Palestinian policemen were sent to try to separate the priests, but two of them were also injured in the unholy melee.
The Church of the Nativity, like the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem's Old City, is shared by various branches of Christianity, each of which controls and jealously guards a part of the holy site.
The Church of the Nativity is built on the site where Christians believe Jesus was born in a stable more than 2,000 years ago after Mary and Joseph were turned away by an inn.

~~~~~~~~~~
I can't believe they are acting like that.... Satan sure does have his claws dug in deep. They are to tightly connected to self fulfillment and pride I'm sure the Church of the Nativity is a very important Holy site to them but it does not rise above the salvation of there Souls. This is so embarrassing in the name of Christianity.
Pastor Joel Osteen speaks out on Mormonism
The pastor of the nation's largest church has offered his take on Mormonism.
Joel Osteen is pastor of Houston's Lakewood Church, which -- according to Outreach Magazine -- hosts approximately 47,000 people each weekend in a renovated former NBA arena. Two days before Christmas, the best-selling author made an appearance on Fox News Sunday with host Chris Wallace, where he was asked about the role of religion in politics. More specifically, Osteen was asked about the Mormon faith, and whether a Mormon could be classified as "a true Christian."
"In my mind they are," Osteen said. "Mitt Romney has said that he believes in Christ as his Savior, and that's what I believe. I'm not the one to judge the little details of [Romney's religion], so I believe [Mormons are Christians] and Mitt Romney seems like a man of character and integrity to me and I don't think anything would stop me from voting for him if that's what I felt like."
When asked about specifics of the Mormon faith, such as the gold tablets allegedly found by Joseph Smith with the so-called "new revelation" from God, and the belief that humans can become gods, Osteen said he did not know enough about the religion's beliefs to comment.
"I certainly can't say that I agree with everything that I've heard about it," the Houston pastor responded. "But from what I've heard from Mitt, when he says that Christ is his Savior, to me that's a common bond."
Osteen also said that he admired former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee.
Grassley probe exposes "prosperity gospel"
Cindy Fleenor of Tampa, Florida, says she believed the TV preachers who promised that those who are faithful in how they live and how they give will be showered with God's blessings.
The 53-year-old wrote checks to televangelists Joyce Meyer, Benny Hinn and Paula White.
But when the blessings didn't come, Fleenor ended up borrowing money just to buy groceries.
At first she believed that her faith wasn't strong enough, but later she became angry and bitter.
The groups Fleenor supported are among six ministries under scrutiny by Senator Charles Grassley. He's asking questions about lavish spending and possible abuses of the evangelists' tax-exempt status.
The probe also has some wondering whether the prosperity gospel is facing a day of reckoning.
Proponents call it a biblically sound message of hope. Others say it is a distortion that makes evangelists rich and preys on the vulnerable.
Pope's exorcist squads will wage war on Satan
By NICK PISA
29th December 2007
The Pope has ordered his bishops to set up exorcism squads to tackle the rise of Satanism.
Vatican chiefs are concerned at what they see as an increased interest in the occult.
They have introduced courses for priests to combat what they call the most extreme form of "Godlessness."
Each bishop is to be told to have in his diocese a number of priests trained to fight demonic possession.
The initiative was revealed by 82-year-old Father Gabriele Amorth, the Vatican "exorcistinchief," to the online Catholic news service Petrus.
"Thanks be to God, we have a Pope who has decided to fight the Devil head-on," he said.
"Too many bishops are not taking this seriously and are not delegating their priests in the fight against the Devil. You have to hunt high and low for a properly trained exorcist.
"Thankfully, Benedict XVI believes in the existence and danger of evil - going back to the time he was in charge of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith." The CDF is the oldest Vatican department and was headed by Benedict from 1982, when he was Cardinal Ratzinger, until he became Pope in 2005.
Father Amorth said that during his time at the department Benedict had not lost the chance to warn humanity of the risk from the Devil.
He said the Pope wants to restore a prayer seen as protection against evil that was traditionally recited at the end of Catholic Masses. The prayer, to St Michael the Archangel, was dropped in the 1960s by Pope John XXIII.
"The prayer is useful not only for priests but also for lay people in helping to fight demons," he said.
Father Paolo Scarafoni, who lectures on the Vatican's exorcism course, said interest in Satanism and the occult has grown as people lost faith with the church.
He added: "People suffer and think that turning to the Devil can help solve their problems. We are being bombarded by requests for exorcisms."
The Vatican is particularly concerned that young people are being exposed to the influence of Satanic sects through rock music and the Internet.
In theory, under the Catholic Church's Canon Law 1172, all priests can perform exorcisms. But in reality only a select few are assigned the task.
Under the law, practitioners must have "piety, knowledge, prudence, and integrity of life."
The rite of exorcism involves a series of gestures and prayers to invoke the power of God and stop the "demon" influencing its victim.
It's like they have to come up with some new sensational thing to do every week. If not, people would lose interest and they wouldn't be needed. And of course, whatever they come up with, it requires them to be the only ones who can do anything about it, therefore they need to be obeyed.
A warning for those taking on the casting out of demons.
Acts 19:13-16
Then some of the traveling Jewish exorcists (men who adjure evil spirits) also undertook to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, I solemnly implore and charge you by the Jesus Whom Paul preaches!
14
Seven sons of a certain Jewish chief priest named Sceva were doing this.
15
But [one] evil spirit retorted, Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?
16
Then the man in whom the evil spirit dwelt leaped upon them, mastering two of them, and was so violent against them that they dashed out of that house [in fear], stripped naked and wounded.
I don't remember this guy speaking out against terrorism as American heads and others were being loped off and video taped for entertainment. What I do remember is this guy chastising the U.S. about Gitmo and protesting capital punishment in the U.S. for true monsters, that earned it and other things like that.
You don't have to be a member of God's eternal family to turn on the news or read the headlines.
But remember, it says in the Holy Book that due to this increase in wickedness, the love of many will grow cold...... Let's try to remember this as we not only talk our talk, but walk our walk. There are alot of depressed, lonely, scared people out there in this crazy world and I'm sure alot of them are being messed-with spiritually.
I pray that they will never rely on man's attempt at fixing them, but is lead Through the Spirit, and possibly with the help of believers shining their light, to Him. There, they will find peace and rest. It sure ain't available in this world!!
Cars torched (372 cars) in 'calm' NYE in France
January 01, 2008 11:44pm
VANDALS torched 372 cars as France celebrated the New Year, down on the figure last year after a night the police described as "relatively calm".
Cars are burned fairly regularly in France and the image of vehicles in flames in poor suburbs became symbolic of riots in 2005 when angry youths set fire to thousands of cars.
There is usually an increase in the number of cars torched on New Year's Eve compared to other days of the year.
The night was relatively calm, without notable incident, there were very few direct clashes with the security forces, said a spokesman for the national police.
The Interior Ministry said 372 vehicles had been burned - 144 in the Paris region and 228 in the rest of France. That was down from 397 last New Year's Eve.
At the height of the 2005 riots as many as 1400 cars were attacked in overnight violence. In protests over President Nicolas Sarkozy election last May, demonstrators set fire to 730 vehicles.
Police had stepped up their presence on French streets in anticipation of the year-end celebrations and the sale of petrol in cans was banned in some places.
What were the Muslim youth angry about this time? The unemployment rate among those in their communities? I don't get it. I was just recently told that in France, they're not even allowed to keep statistics on such things as race and/or employment. If true, that makes all these outcries even more perplexing.
Of course they're not going to get jobs when they're out torching cars! Plus, the French legal system is clear. You can become French only if you learn to speak French and give up all loyalties to your previous country. If they don't want to follow the rules, get out of the country. You can keep your religion in France, but you have to make that choice to become French, then you can get all the benefits that come with being a citizen of France. They can't have it both ways. If they don't want to deal with French culture, like I said, then get out of the country.
Chlamydia among under-16s up 9-fold in 4 years
'Lot of evidence' shows even if condoms always used disease can still be transmitted
London health experts say something needs to be done beyond making condoms available to lower the number of children with sexually transmitted diseases, because the handouts from school nurses just aren't doing the work.
"There is a lot of evidence to show that even if condoms are used all the time the disease can still be transmitted. We need to focus on better sexual education that involves parents, not just the school nurse," Trevor Stammers, a physician and healthcare ethics lecturer, told the London Evening Standard.
He said the government's dedication to contraception should be reconsidered.
"These figures are astounding and show we need to focus more on discouraging young teenagers from having intercourse too early. Not only is underage sex illegal, it is unhealthy and dangerous," he said. "The government is not discouraging children from making their sexual debut and the areas where the disease is most prevalent are where there is the most deprivation."
His comments to the newspaper came after health officials came out with confirmation that chlamydia is affecting up to one in 10 sexually active young people in the British study area.
The report said the number of cases of Chlamydia among under-16s in London has risen ninefold in four years.
Figures reveal some primary care health services have diagnosed more than 20 times as many cases among underage girls last year than just four years ago.
The newspaper said the report confirmed the biggest increase was in Lewisham, where the number of confirmed cases rocketed from 46 in 2003-2004 to 332 in 2006-2007.
Experts attribute the rise in the disease, which can lead to infertility, to an absence of warnings about the dangers of underage sex, the newspaper said.
New York Mom Allegedly Put Son, 7, in Oven as Punishment
Saturday , January 12, 2008
AIRMONT, N.Y.
Police arrested a woman Friday after her 7-year-old son told authorities she burned him in an oven, and a day-care worker was arrested for not reporting the attack, authorities said.
The mother, 26-year-old Tiffany Fraser of Tallman, was charged with assault and endangering a child, authorities said.
Police began investigating after the boy was spotted alone at a shopping center and told officers he had run away because "his mother had put him in an oven and burned him as a punishment," according to police reports.
The day-care worker, 37-year-old Joelle Lherisson, was charged with failure to report child abuse. Both Fraser and Lherisson were arraigned in Airmont Village Court and released until their next court dates.
Lherisson told WCBS-TV that the boy showed no signs of abuse, and she had taken good care of him.
"There was nothing wrong with the child," she said.
Fraser's lawyer, Edward Cigna, declined to comment. There was no phone listing for Fraser.
Lt. Brad Weidel of the Town of Ramapo police force, which covers Airmont, said the boy's burns on his nose, arm, hand and left leg were noticed at a daycare center owned by Lherisson in July, but Lherisson did not report them.
When the boy reported the oven incident at the shopping center, he and a sibling were removed from their home by the Rockland County children's agency and police began an investigation that led to both arrests, Weidel said.
NYON, Switzerland
A man drove over his estranged wife, fled the scene and then returned briefly to retrieve his license plate without helping his dying spouse, police said Friday.
The 51-year-old man struck his wife at a pedestrian crossing in the southwestern Swiss town of Nyon on Thursday evening, cantonal (state) police said.
He then drove off, only to come back in order to collect his front license plate, which had fallen off the car as a result of the accident, police said.
As passers-by tended to his badly injured wife the man left the scene again. He was subsequently arrested by a police patrol.
The wife, 49, died later in the hospital.
Police said the man, of Portuguese origin, appeared to have driven over his wife on purpose and a criminal investigation has been opened.
