Sacramento - School Bus Stolen From Parking Lot

Officials at the private Merryhill School on Baseline Road in Roseville are at a loss to explain why anyone would want to steal their 2-year-old, 40-foot-long school bus. Perhaps there is a simple answer but with the recent rash of stolen school buses in Houston , it’s a good idea to keep your eyes open and report anything suspicious.

The bus was taken Wednesday evening or early Thursday morning from the parking lot of Merryhill Schools at 1370 Baseline Road in Roseville, authorities said.

The 96 passenger, $130,000 bus was used primarily for field trips. A regular fleet of buses is already used to transport children to and from school, she said

According to authorities, the bus has “Merryhill Schools” lettered on its side and has two identification numbers, “Unit #586″ and “Fleet #N63989.”
