Hello Brothers and Sisters,

I just learned today that my Grandpa has Colon Cancer and they can not operate due to the fact how bad it is, he would not make it through the surgery. Not sure how long he has.
His name is Dale Jack and he is a Christian, Saved by the Precious Blood of Jesus. So I know the Lord is with him, I just pray that his journey 'home' will be painless and peaceful. I pray that Grandma will be able to be strong for him as she herself is at the beginning stages of Altizmers(sp). I live in Illinois and they are in Arizona, so we are miles apart.

Thank you...God Bless...Tina

Well, I wrote this prayer request just over a year ago. And my Grandpa is Home now. The Lord blessed Grandpa to have a few more months and I thank Him for that. Thank you ALL for your prayers.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss, sister. It is comforting to know that he is with the Lord. How is your grandma?

I'm sorry to hear of your loss, Tina. I give praise to Jesus, that He knows your grandpa. I've said a prayer for the whole family.

Sister Tina,

I'll be praying for you and your family. I'm sorry to hear about your loss, but it is nice to know that a loved one is no longer in pain and is with JESUS. The time does come for all of us when it's far better to be "absent from the body and present with the LORD". As Christians, we should give thanks for this beautiful Promise from GOD and KNOW that our loved one has gone on to a better and eternal life. The sorrow is for us who remain, but that will only be temporary.

Love In Christ,
Tom

2 Corinthians 5:5-8 NASB
Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a pledge. Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord -- for we walk by faith, not by sight -- we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.

Thank you all for your kind words.... oh yes.... "absent from the body and present with the LORD".  AMEN!!!

Grandma was moved into a Senior housing place 10 months ago. Her Alzheimer's has gotten worse. She herself is doing okay and the place where she is at the staff and others living there are nice, friendly and have a nice variety of activities for them to keep busy and active. So that is a real blessing!

I'm sorry to hear that your grandma got worse but it is good to know that she is getting such good care. My prayers will be with her.

Although your grandpa has gone on the meet Jesus, has a glorified body and is no longer suffering, I doesn't prevent the grieving process for those left behind.  I will continue to pray for your family, particularly your grandma as she make the transition to life without him and for her health as well.

God Bless you all, Eva
