Please pray for Farin.  She is a very nice, sensitive child.  She started back to school and got very ill upon coming home  (apparently a couple of the kids were unkind to her).  Pray for the Lord to touch her and her parents.  Pray the teacher will use compassion and wisdom in this situation.  Thanks very much.

I will pray for Farin.  It is very sad that kids can be so mean to each other.  The first time that kids were mean to me at school, I thought something must be wrong with me.  I hope someone will explain to her that nothing is wrong with her, but there are a lot of things wrong in the hearts of those who are unkind without provocation.

I hope that Farin's parents will be proactive, visit the school, and stay on top of this situation.  Treatment like this can be very damaging to a child, especially when it goes on and on.  Like Barney Fife said, "Nip it in the bud!"

As parents, we are called to guide, protect, and shelter our children (did you know that the word "shelter" never has ANY negative connotations in the bible?)  If Farin is going to be harmed at school (even if the abuse is only verbal abuse), I hope that her parents will consider removing her.  Her age (Cool is a wonderful age to homeschool.

I'll be praying!

Debp, it's remind me of my son 7 years old, everytime when he came back from school he will tell me what his friends did to him and that brought me to keep praying for him each morning before sending him to school. My prayer adds to Farin too.

Thanks everyone for your prayers.  I did talk to Farin today and tried to encourage her....like you say, chommel, so she will know it's not her....if others are sometimes unkind.  Last year at this school she did very good (they had to remove her from a previous school that was really bad with all kids totally ignoring her)....but I guess with the start of a new school year, you know how that goes.  Prayfully and hopefully, things will go better as she gets adjusted to school again.  She really does love being around other children that are nice.

Thanks, John, and everyone.  Btw, Farin's mom (although young) has alot of health problems.  So this probably makes it harder on a sensitive child.

An ailing parent does make it considerable harder on any young child. Children are more aware of the possibilities than many give them credit for. Realizing this is a big step in being able to help them through such difficulties.

Update:  The other kids are befriending Farin, and so she is much happier....her mom is also happy about this!  Thanks for praying and please continue to remember this dear family.
