Has anyone out there read the Left Behind series?
I got the first book in the series and read it after hearing and reading so many good reviews about it.  However I am a little disappointed as I dont think it is as good as what other people think it is.  I have also read a similar book called "raptured" by Ernest Angley which actually scared the heck out of me.  Any views?

Left Behind was disapointing. I thought at first it was a fiction version of the book "left behind" but it was just embarrissing. I didn't like that at all. I never heard of "Raptured." What scared it about you?

Anyone here about the book “Right behind“? The bishop was telling me about it, a parody of “left behind.”  He said he read it in one sitting. It sounds crazy.

The Left Behind books annoy me. I used to love them, but then I realized that the authors took everything in Revelation WAY too literally.

I found the left behind series books a wee bit boring for me I'm afraid but the "raptured" one I mentioned (above) scared the heck out of me because it is more like a hyped up, truthful, scary account of what "could" happen when Christ comes back.  It's really a worthwhile book to read.  I couldn't put it down.

Yeah, Sapph, the Left behind series is an entertaining read, but a bit on the Gnostic side. The authors seems to write with the attitude of “We are right, and if you don’t think this is how the end times will be, then you aren’t Christian.” I don’t think the end times are going to be remotely like that, and I hate it when people act like that. Sad
