Why Do People Go To Hell?
Most believe it is because of sin. But this is not so. People go to hell because of unbelief.
There are two issues here.
1. Christ has paid (past tense) for all sin, for all men for all time.
This is evident for the scripture says, Heb 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
All of our sin was in the future when Christ died. The issue is belief and trust.
2. Belief of the truth is what God is looking for. Notice:
1 Tim 4:10 ... because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
Those who will not believe that Christ paid for their sins will have to pay for them themselves, for eternity, in the lake of fire.
The choice is yours but I beg you in Christ stead to put your trust in HIM and HIM alone.
Christ died – that's history
Christ died for me – that’s salvation
== Col. 1:27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Death is the judgment for sin. Hell is the judgment for dying in sin - effectively disbelieving God, and subsequently rejecting Christ. Good post brother!

I don't see hell as a judgment. I see it as a simple reality. Hell is life without God. If we reject God, we will not find heaven. That's all there is to it.

People go to hell because of unbelief. Amen Brother Love Yes, even good, morally, good people if outside of Christ and God the Father. Hard to accept sometimes, but it is true or else God would be a liar and He isn't a liar. Very sad indeed. The reason we should be working even harder to share and give the love of God concerning His Son.

So if people go to hell because of disbelief, what happens to infants who die before they can learn?

Well, if you believe in the grace of God, then your relatives being in hell shouldn't matter because once you are in heaven God will make everything ok.
Besides, if you can't convert your relatives, then are they actually worth anything? If they go to Hell, they deserved it.

So if people go to hell because of disbelief, what happens to infants who die before they can learn? This is a highly debated topic, but this is my understanding of it that might help. "Now faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God." The saving faith comes from hearing, and accepting God's word. One must first be given a chance to believe before God will hold them accountable. Children are not capable of this as infants. I believe that there is a principle of the age of accountability to consider here. As for adults who have never heard..."they are without excuse," because God "calls all men everywhere unto repentance." Read Romans 1 for a better understanding of this.

Hmm...but what if your loved ones are non believers and end up in hell , will heaven still be heaven for you or will it be hell ? Heaven my friend is not an experience, but a place. Hell is not a difficult time, but an eternal place of judgment. If my loved ones do not believe and die while I yet live...I am crushed. But when I get to Heaven myself - all there is is Jesus. I will be enamored with His presence so much that I will simply glorify Him.

Mine is they made their choice, don't get me wrong it hurts when each reject Christs Death.I like Paul would gladly give them my salvation and take their place in hell, but I can't its their choice.
