Here's a beautiful Scripture to think about often:

2 Corinthians 1:20-22 NASB  For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us. Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God, who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.

This portion of Scripture is short but extremely powerful. The components are really the results of accepting the GOOD NEWS, JESUS CHRIST. GOD has given us Promises, and they are so sure that we should consider them already done. Even though we are still here on this earth, we have already been established in CHRIST and the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD lives in our hearts. We are SEALED with the HOLY SPIRIT already, and this Scripture calls this a pledge. There's an interesting Bible study that can be done. We should know this pledge is a Promise from GOD and a sign that all of GOD'S other Promises to us will be kept. Whatever is Promised from GOD is AMEN! - Count it to be TRUTH! - It will be done!

Brothers and Sisters,

A word study on "Persevere" is really interesting. It has various usage but is usually related to:

1 - Continuing in something with endurance.

2 - Fastening your attention to something with determination.

3 - Apply and expend energy, bare difficulty, and continue toward a goal.

4 - It many times applies to toil or a fight - something that is never easy and worth the difficulty.

5 - In terms of doctrine - to stay and remain unmovable in the truth.

6 - In common usage - to stay, abide, stand, and continue with devotion as to duty.

1Ti 4:16  Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in these things, for as you do this you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you.

Php 2:14  Do all things without grumbling or disputing;
Php 2:15  so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world,
Php 2:16  holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not run in vain nor toil in vain.

2Co 12:15  I will most gladly spend and be expended for your souls. If I love you more, am I to be loved less?

Act 6:4  "But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word."

Act 26:22  "So, having obtained help from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, stating nothing but what the Prophets and Moses said was going to take place;
Act 26:23  that the Christ was to suffer, and that by reason of His resurrection from the dead He would be the first to proclaim light both to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles."

Tit 1:9  holding fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict.

Luk 8:15  "But the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance.

Rom 15:4  For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
Rom 15:5  Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus,
Rom 15:6  so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Rom 15:7  Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God.

1Ti 6:11  But flee from these things, you man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness.
1Ti 6:12  Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

2Pe 1:2  Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord;
2Pe 1:3  seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
2Pe 1:4  For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.
2Pe 1:5  Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge,
2Pe 1:6  and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness,
2Pe 1:7  and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love.

Rev 3:10  'Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
Rev 3:11  'I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, so that no one will take your crown.
