Oklahoma Howdy to All,

I've wanted to know for some time if there would be interest in discussing various Bible study tools. I'm thinking about naming the tool, how to use it, strengths, weaknesses, and overall value to help in understanding the Bible.

I'm specifically talking about:

Electronic Bible Study Packages (Computer)
Bible Concordances
Bible Dictionaries
Bible Commentaries
Bible Topical Reference Material
Bible Devotions
Bible Study Guides
In-Depth Bible Studies

All skill levels would be addressed from the babe in Christ to the mature in Christ. I, for one, would love to hear what other people use as Bible Study Tools and why they like that particular tool. I could also see this as an area for links to various Bible study tools.

Everyone please let us know what you think about this and vote. I think there would be many interesting tools discussed and made available.

Please also feel welcome to post a reply with more specific ideas you may have on this subject. Thanks in advance for your participation.

Love In Christ,
Tom

I love the "Stongest Strong's Concordance", it lists every word in the bible, which is wonderful if you need to research a particular subject, or if you're looking for a verse but can only recall a few words. It also lists the Greek/Hebrew dictionary numbers for each word, which helps to shed light on root meanings. A minor drawback: some words, although they have the same meaning, differ in various Bible translations, and this occasionally makes it difficult to locate certain verses based on one or two words.

Oklahoma Howdy to Willowbirch,

Do you use the book or computer version of Strong's?

I have been spoiled and use it in an integrated computer study package.

In Christ,

Book. I don't study well from a screen.
