Linguists seek a time when we spoke as one
A controversial research project is trying to trace all human language to a common root.

Again we have individuals that want to disprove the Bible with their "research" using man's logic they are attempting to trace the roots to a point when all people spoke the same language. Their "research" is leading them into the center of Africa and to a time frame that they place in the 45,000 to 60,000 years ago range.

The Bible has a clear and concise record of when people first started speaking in different languages. Gen chapter 11 tells us quite clearly the history of mankinds language formation and even the reason for this diversity in languages.

Gen 11:1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.

The story conveyed in Genesis chapter 11 occurred between 2341BC and 2051BC. We know this from the concise figures placed on the geneology of Adam to Abraham. The "earth divided" (Gen 10:25 ) is placed at 2341BC and Abraham's circumcision (Gen 17:24 ) being approximately 2051BC.
