Michael Moore Attacking Christians

Moore to tackle 'gay' rights?
'There is nowhere in the 4 Gospels where Jesus uses the word 'homosexual'

Controversial filmmaker Michael Moore has revealed that he might take on homophobia and the anti-gay movement in his next documentary.

“I think it’s a very ripe subject for someone like me to make a movie about,” he admitted, in an interview with The Advocate. “Simply because we are not there yet and it remains one of the last open wounds on our soul that we are not willing to fix yet.”

Moore, whose latest film Sicko attacks the U.S. health care system, expressed anger at fundamentalist Christians in the U.S. who condemn same-sex marriage.

“There is nowhere in the four Gospels where Jesus uses the word ‘homosexual.’ The right wing has appropriated this guy … and they have used him to attack gays and lesbians, when he never said a single word against people who are homosexual. Anyone who professes to be a Christian and does that is certainly not following the teachings of Jesus Christ.”

Moore, who told the magazine he is a spiritual person, said he supports same-sex marriage.

“I certainly believe that I have no right to tell another couple whether they can or cannot be married,” he said.

Moore said he is optimistic that gays and lesbians in the U.S. will have more equality soon “because everyone has someone who is gay or lesbian in their family or their extended family.”

The director of Fahrenheit 911 and Bowling for Columbine said he is proud to speak out in favour of gay rights.

“If you believe in equality, if you believe in standing up for the rights of all, especially for people most affected by bigotry and discrimination, then you have no choice but to be present and accounted for when it comes to standing up for gays and lesbians in our society.”

It wasn't that long ago that someone like this would be put in a home for the mentally ill.

Jesus came to set free men from sin..all sin..He knew the state of this world and that is the reason God sent His son...He could of destroyed the world, but His compassion is so great...It is for those who hear and believe and will turn away from sin...those who chose not to believe are in darkness and will live in sin by their own choice to fulfill the lust of the flesh...which leads to death of the body, soul and eternal seperation from God...There is a hell and many who do not turn away from sin and accept the Lord will not have to debate hell for they will see it first hand..

When God made a mate for Adam, he made a woman.  I think that says it all.

Alot of people in the world today have been blinded not only by satan, but by their own lusts.  Wanting to remain in their lusts, they try to justify their actions....and they convince themselves that what they do is alright.

Remember the other topic here about the former gay young man who repented and became a Christian?  There is still hope for others.....although in the last days, the Bible says it will become like Sodom and Gomorrah.

The degree of credibility Moore has among the Left elites is up for debate. What Michael Moore does provide is anti-Republican, anti-Bush, anti-war, anti-Christian, anti-American, anti-Right material that they can quote and cite as if it were legitimate.  The gays and lesbians really don't care if he's factual or not, he dramatizes what they are willing to believe.

Amen!

Jesus didn't use the word homosexual but anyone that has read the Bible can clearly see that He did in fact teach against homosexuality even in the 4 Gospels.

Another Amen. There is still hope. It is not too late but the time is growing short. Now is the time to turn away from the worldly things and to turn to God.

Equality, rights for all, to be present and accounted for? .....

Romans 3:23
for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

Mr Moore are you a judge? Sorry... I ONLY answer to ONE and HIS judgement is all that matters to me!

Romans 3:24  being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

Amen to that.

I love that argument about how Jesus never used the word homesexual...that is always a fun one.

I am like sure Jesus never specifically said that...but are we forgetting the other 62 books of the Bible?  Both new and old speak against homosexuality......DUH

We should all pray for Michael Moore to come to know Christ as his Savior.  Oh, I just thought, when that happens, think of the movies he would make then.  Smiley

That would be a wonderful miracle. Unfortunately with his reputation of presenting false information how many would actually listen to him.

Yes, we should be praying for all those that are lost.
